SCP Auctions sells this T206 Honus Wagner for $1.2 million

It's got four rounded corners and plenty of missing original real estate, but it's the highest-selling piece of cardboard this year.

SCP Auctions has brokered a private sale of this 1909-11 T206 Honus Wagner card for $1.2 million, according to the company.

The PSA 2 copy of the card, which has a Sweet Caporal back, was sold by the Laguna Niguel, Calif.-based company. This exact card previously sold for $657,250 in 2014 and $776,750 in 2016.

Just 34 copies of the card have been graded by PSA wth the best copy grading at an 8. There are also just one PSA 5 and one PSA 4. There are three PSA 3s, 10 PSA 2s, 10 PSA 1s and six authentic. One other is a PSA 5 with a qualifier and the last one is a PSA 1 with a qualifier.
