.Panini America now has a pair of NFL-bound Buffaloes on its team.
Colorado quarterback and potential top NFL draft pick Shedeur Sanders and Panini have teamed up for an exclusive autographed trading card deal revealed on Wednesday and it comes on the heels of a similar deal with two-way star Travis Hunter that was revealed on Monday.
“We are proud to have Shedeur joining our team of exclusive athletes at Panini,” said Jason Howarth, Panini's Senior VP of Marketing and Athlete Relations, in a prepared statement. “He is an exciting player whom we have enjoyed getting to know, and we look forward to sharing his products with fans and collectors. Shedeur has a very unique perspective and we look forward to working with him to bring some of the key initiatives important to him to life.”
Panini Instant and other football releases going forward will feature Sanders, who, like Hunter, also will be part of selected Panini marketing programs.
Sanders, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado coach Deion Sanders, was the Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Year and won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award after throwing for a school-record 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns last season. He has appeared on more than 1,300 different football cards already, with many of them being low-volume autographs, thanks to NIL deals with other companies since 2021 -- but none with Panini America.
“This partnership with Panini is a great fit for me and it seemed so natural that it just made sense,” Sanders said. “As a kid, I grew up watching my dad sign Panini trading cards -- to know that I’m now going to have my own Panini trading cards and that kids are going to want to collect mine, is a blessing.”
