Sunday Superstars: Week 5 icons include Aaron Rodgers, Isaiah Crowell, Adam Thielen, DeAndre Hopkins & more

Picking Aaron Rodgers among a group of weekly standouts could essentially happen any week but here we are.

Why? It was a week where a lot of obvious stars did what they do and a week where a number of names who aren't as big on cardboard also had big days. The Green Bay Packers QB had his best game of the year yet, ironically, still lost. He completed 32 of 52 passes for 442 yards and three touchdowns. That's a bit freakish but it's still not the team record (480) which he owns a share of. He also threw three TDs in Week 1 but totaled only 286 yards.

His key cardboard -- Rookie Cards (2005) and autographs (click here to see them on eBay) -- are already pricey so this kind of a game may not make much of a difference. If you're a dedicated NFL collector, you probably have (or need) one, and if you pull one then you've captured a gem among today's stars. It may be tempting to cash in -- but it's also a safe hold for years if you ask me.

Keep reading for more guys who generated some buzz on the field this week.

-- Isaiah Crowell Quick, can you name the New York Jets' single-game rushing yards record-holder? You can if you saw Sunday's win over the Broncos. It's this guy, an undrafted rookie out of Alabama State back in 2014 who had toiled in Cleveland the last four seasons before signing a three-year $12-million deal this March. He had just 15 carries but racked up for 219 yards and a touchdown in the game. Just two other RBs hit the 100-yard mark this week, and in a week where a few WRs ran their mouths a bit, Crowell just ran through holes his line made for him and gave them the credit. "I got to give all the credit to my O-line. I can't really take the credit because, I mean, really it was all them. The holes were open, anybody could've run through," he told NFL.com. "It just happened to be me, so I feel like they really set the record." Crowell's Rookie Cards and first autos can be found in 2014 boxes and he's pushing 500 different autographs since then. Now might not be the time to buy (they should be on the rise) but it's definitely time to dabble if you think he will build on this. He had just 171 yards on 42 carries all season long before this. >>> Click here to see his autos on eBay

-- Adam Thielen This Minnesota Vikings WR is easily one of the more off-the-radar stars of the last couple years but that's changing every week. This week this undrafted star out of Minnesota State-Mankato became the first receiver since the NFL-AFL merger to open a season with five 100-yard games -- that seems like a record that should have been done by somebody from the past or in recent years with offensive explosions, but ... nope. He had just seven catches for 116 yards and a touchdown on Sunday and his three TDs this year are already just one short of his total all of last season -- and two short of his career-high. He had 1,276 receiving yards last season and came up just short of 1,000 two seasons ago. His Rookie Cards can be found among the stacked 2016 rookie crop though he doesn't have a lot of cardboard in general. He's barely topped 100 autograph cards but his only rookie autos are found in 2016 Panini Contenders. >>> Click here to see his autos on eBay

-- DeAndre Hopkins The Houston Texans' QB may get a lot of the hobby attention -- and he has a number of toys on offense to throw to -- but his best one is this guy, who put on a show on Sunday night. He had nine catches for 151 yards but came up short of hitting the end zone. Nobody had more yards in the league and only three players had more catches. This play in overtime helped seal the deal for a 19-16 win over the Cowboys. This was his second straight game topping 150 yards this season and he's an established star though with his QB not scorching the league like he did last year he may not be as noticed, either. Hopkins' Rookie Cards can be found in 2013 boxes when he arrived from Clemson as a first-round pick and are worth a look if you can spot some bargains. If the Texans get back on track and make a push, his cards will be among those that get attention. >>> Click here to see his autos on eBay

-- Robby Anderson If you watched the highlight reels you probably also saw this New York Jets WR who racked up some solid totals on just a handful of plays. Three catches, 123 yards and two touchdowns were his final totals and it's that kind of crazy day that could get people to dabble with cheap cardboard. He's another guy who went undrafted in this week's group and his 2016 Rookie Cards aren't plentiful. In fact, the card you see above? It's his only RC. He also has yet to top 40 different certified autographs with a dozen in 2016 Panini Contenders, 10 in 2017 Panini Select and only a handful in a few sets since. He may not have big demand now but a rookie QB like Sam Darnold will be watched -- and so will the guys he throws to. >>> Click here to see his autos on eBay
