2025 Topps Tier One
First MLB-Pokémon crossover card surfaces -- and it will be on public display for National Pokémon Day celebration

ORLANDO, Fla. -- In the 30th anniversary year of Pokémon, the first MLB-licensed card featuring one of those iconic characters has been discovered -- and it will be on public display this week on National Pokémon Day.
It’s a one-of-a-kind 2025 Topps Tier One game-used Charizard bat-knob card, and it carries an autograph from former MLB star Evan Longoria, who had the sticker on his bat thanks to one of his children. It’s the rarest card to feature a Pokémon character ever made and this news of its discovery was first revealed Wednesday on FOX 35 Orlando’s show, The 407.
Thousands of packs have been opened trying to find this ground-breaking card and, while this is the first crossover between MLB and Pokemon, it’s also a far-rarer card than the Pikachu Illustrator that Logan Paul just sold for $16.5 million. There are estimated to be 39 Pikachu Illustrator cards, while this is the only copy of this card that will ever be made.
Evan Longoria's Pokemon power coming to cardboard soon

Evan Longoria's playing days might be winding down, but his cardboard will be powering up this year.
As teased on his Instagram today, he signed a batch of baseball cards for Topps and the knob off one of his Charizard-powered baseball bats will have a spot in 2025 Topps Tier One, which will arrive later this year.
"A few beautiful hits I just signed from this years @topps @fanatics Tier One Baseball," the 16-year veteran wrote here. "I inscribed a few for you all. Whoever finds the Charizard bat knob, please hit me up! Happy hunting!"
So, what's the deal with the Pokémon appearance?
