What's Buzzing: Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul, NFL chatter, new pulls, the Cleveland Cavaliers are hot, Wemby 50 reactions and more in this Friday edition.
Buzz Buys: Lotsa Shotzi, some recent MLB throwbacks, new autographs, old mags, AEW's champ, movie surprises & more
Buzz buys and busts a lot of boxes right here for Buzz Breaks, but one of my goals is to rip a little less and talk more about cardboard that I -- and you -- might like. One way to do that? Simple show and tell -- present a few pick-ups and say why they captured my attention.
So, with all that said, here are a few Buzz Buys ...

SIX-PACK OF SHOTZI
The Cards: Shotzi Blackheart 2022 Panini Impeccable WWE Indelible Ink autographs (/99)
The Price: Between $30-40 each (but mostly on the low side of that)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This card is easily among my favorites from the entirety of the Panini WWE run so far with an on-card auto, a unique photo and simple crop for a colorful high-energy star who's known to bark at the moon and come to the ring on a miniature tank wearing a horned Army helmet atop her long neon green hair. (Really.) I picked off these on the lower side of things over recent months and need to find more, but opening of boxes seems to have slowed some recently with more new releases popping up. I like this one with its thick stock, too. Ideally, I'd like to run up my total to maybe nine or 10 ... maybe more if I spot them with the right prices.

Buzz Buys: Rhea Ripley, Hammerin' Hank, throwback publicity, un-corrected errors, vintage, movies, mags, comics, & more

HER TIME IS NOW ...
The Cards: Rhea Ripley 2020 Topps Transcendent WWE (/50) -- Rookie Card
The Price: Less than some of your new boxes out there
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This one is more of a long-term buying project for me as I think Ripley has the potential to be an all-time great in the WWE's women's ranks. She's only 26 and has literally been wrestling half of her life, already has held WWE gold and this is her premium-brand Rookie Card (gaming cards don't count in my world) that has an iconic pose and is limited to only 50 copies. This one also is easily among the priciest of the unsigned cards in this pricey set that was made to be broken up. Only three of these are new additions for me but I had to take a pic of all five together as a bit of a brag -- I don't do that a lot and I don't like to give the prices when I spend big on stuff -- but this is a card I like ... and I'm definitely not done yet. She has other Rookie Cards (with logos ... this set didn't use them) from 2020 but this one will always be the best in my book and we know exactly how many exist and that it cost plenty for somebody else to land one. She's got another WrestleMania match against an all-time great, Charlotte Flair, here soon and I don't know exactly how that might go ... but I do know she's definitely worthy of a long and dominating title reign and a smackdown of a great would solidify her place. I think her time is now.

LeBron James Triple Logoman arrives on Goldin auction block
One of the biggest sports cards ever made may soon ascend to its much-talked-about throne.
The 2020-21 Panini Flawless LeBron James Triple Logoman will hit the auction block this week via Goldin where it is being touted as a contender to break the all-time sales record for any sports card ever made -- that's the $6.6 million paid for a T206 Honus Wagner. The auction will begin on Wednesday via Goldin.
"The LeBron James Triple Logoman card is the undisputed holy grail of modern cards," said Goldin Executive Chairman and Founder Ken Goldin. "For months, collectors have clamored to claim this uniquely alluring masterpiece and for card collectors, there have been a small handful of cards that are considered the pièce de résistance of the hobby. We are truly proud to offer this item and now it can be yours."
Auction Buzz: Some final-day history brewing over at Goldin
Update: The above card sold for $1.84 million when the auction ended -- the buyer being a direct-mail company's CEO.
--
The action is picking up as the clock is winding down for the finale tonight at Goldin Auctions with this 2003-04 Exquisite Collection LeBron James card already topping the $1-million mark with its premium.
There's about nine hours to go before the auction might end with more bids beyond the current 24, but even the current mark would make it the most-expensive basketball card ever sold as well as the priciest modern card in any sport, topping past $900,000-plus sales of key Mike Trout autos via Goldin.
The Runnemede, N.J.-based auction house has a number of other big-ticket memorabilia pieces and interesting items in its current auction. (Don't believe me? Hit that link and look at the first six items -- they're huge and don't make my list this time.)

LeBron James' first Sports Illustrated cover jersey hits auction
Update (Oct. 20): It sold for $187,500.
--
The Chosen One's jersey is on the auction block and it could fetch six-figures when it sells next month.
Seventeen years after LeBron James made his Sports Illustrated debut, the gold St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish jersey he wore for that photo and a game that night is being sold via Runnemede, N.J.-based Goldin Auctions.
"Few players transcend their sport and few collectibles transcend the industry," said Ken Goldin the auction-house founder. "When you combine those two elements into one item records are broken and that is what we fully expect with this historic high school jersey of the world's most recognizable athlete of this generation."
Kyrie Irving seems to be building toward something big
Remember all those clutch three-pointers that helped lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to their first NBA title? Remember all those highlight-reel moments with the Duke Blue Devils that led him to be the No. 1 pick? Remember Uncle Drew?
All that might not be as red-hot as Kyrie Irving is this season as he's having another strong year, a playoff run that's still perfect in the first round -- he's never lost a first-round playoff game -- and the potential for a new huge contact wherever he wants to play next year. It's all seemingly building toward something big.
But don't take Buzz's word for it.
"Kyrie Irving is taking the Celtics to a new level" says GQ.

Who needs LeBron's possible $100,000 jersey from Game 1 of the NBA Finals ... when you can have J.R. Smith's?
The thrill of victory? Nope, the agony of defeat.
That's what's up for grabs right now via NBA Auctions as the Cleveland Cavaliers' jerseys from Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals, you know, the game where LeBron James scored 51 points but J.R. Smith's idiotic play cost them the game and ultimately the series. (And probably cost Cleveland LeBron.)
The auctions have a few more days to go and the divide between the two is gargantuan.

Have you seen the latest crazy items on eBay? If not, you just might see some of those here every week as we're launching a weekly version of our eBay Buzz pieces that pop up from time to time. ONE SWEET BAMBINO
The Item: 2001 Upper Deck Sweet Spot Signatures Babe Ruth 1/1
The Price: $95,000 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: You can definitely find a signed Ruth baseball for less but this is the only card from this release where a ball signed back in the day was unstitched and placed into a card. You can mark down standard Sweet Spot autos as some of the simplest yet creative cards from the last 20 years and this card is still among the sweeter ones ever made, if not the sweetest of them all.

LeBron James will make a little NBA history tonight in San Antonio
When he arrived in the NBA back in 2003, he already was known as "The Chosen One" and just a couple years later people were pondering whether he was the best ever.
Then, he took his talents to South Beach, won a couple of NBA titles and then returned to where it all started for him and won a championship in Cleveland where there hadn't been successes like that since the 1960s for any sport. His cardboard? It's been among the royalty of the NBA since Day 1 -- this isn't about that.
But tonight in San Antonio LeBron James will likely make a different kind of NBA history but is just as significant (if not more so) from a historical perspective.

The first four pieces in the Panini Authentic Kyrie Championship Collection were teased by the memorabilia division of the NBA's exclusive card-maker and none costs more than $400.
Is this where J.R. Smith's missing shirt went? Ok, maybe not ...
He's played a decade in the NBA for four teams but now that he's got an NBA championship there's one member of the Cleveland Cavaliers who just might have one of the rarer -- and dare we say hotter -- basketball cards of the bunch?
Ok, maybe not -- but maybe J.R. Smith's missing shirt might spark interest in his memorabilia cards?
Again, maybe not, but it's a fun thought.
No doubts here ... LeBron James gets another Sports Illustrated cover
He told the world that he was coming home in the pages of Sports Illustrated and now that he's accomplished his goal of landing Cleveland its first championship since 1964 it makes the most sense to find himself on the cover of the long-running magazine once again.
Not since his debut as "The Chosen One" has there been such a potentially coveted LeBron James SI cover.
LeBron James & Kevin Love NBA champs autographs now available from Upper Deck Authenticated
The Cleveland Cavaliers' first NBA championship means there will be plenty of new commemorative pieces to come -- and two of the team's biggest stars' autographs will only come from Upper Deck Authenticated.
