COVID-19 pandemic
Collecting Game-used: Finding humor after swing from Nimmo
Four bounces and then a short roll ... and then it just sits there.
Spoiler alert: That's the "action" sequence for this latest ball in the Collecting Game-used series but for a random grab-bag ball -- one picked only by its game date -- this one stands out from the pack to a degree. Why? It's got a modest bit of scarring from what it hit off the bat of an All-Star caliber player and it's got a blooper-caliber whimsy to it all, too, with a sequence in a pandemic-era stadium that's quiet enough for you to also hear it all and notice that there are no background reactions at all, either, save for an ump giving it a brief glance.
Keep reading to see the details this time ... and the ball in action.
Need face masks? BlowoutCards.com now has them for you ...
Call this one a practical buy ... a bulk purchase that's worth it -- or maybe a Buzz Break that can't be beat.
The everyday realities of living with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has prompted millions of people out there who are now venturing back into a different world to need face coverings -- and then new clean face coverings over time, too.
More than a few sports leagues, teams and other companies have presented their logos on stylish face masks, but we're keeping it simple here. If you need them, you can now throw in a box of masks into your order alongside those red-hot rarities like 2019-20 Panini Mosaic NBA or 2020 Bowman baseball cards with a single click on BlowoutCards.com. (No hand sanitizer in the store for you yet ... but we've thrown those into an occasional order ... so make sure to dig through those packing peanuts.)
You can land a box of 50 disposable masks right here -- no need to go out and hunt them down and there's no need to battle other bidders for them, either.

Thank You Heroes and other toys aid First Responders First
They're toys with a cause.
Mattel has launched a line of Thank You Heroes toys that aren't action figures for some of the biggest movie or comic book characters out there. Instead, they are toys showing nurses, doctors, delivery drivers and EMTs whose rules in the world are more apparent than ever right now. They aren't alone, either, as a collection of Community Champions also is up for grabs with those same groups as well as grocery store workers represented, too.
Both of these new releases are benefiting those fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Panini on COVID-19: Printing has stopped but not production
Panini America's Dallas, Texas-based operation is working through the COVID-19 pandemic -- at home -- but noted in a Friday-afternoon announcement that the companies it uses for printing and packaging in the area were not, however, online.
That could lead to product delays at some point but none were noted at this time.
Here's its statement in full ...
"We hope that all of you are safe and healthy as we all navigate through this COVID-19 pandemic. We wanted to provide all of you with a brief update on Panini America. First, we are all well and still operating.
Topps announces first wave of COVID-19 related delays
There's no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic is now affecting the trading card industry in full as Topps announced delays to 11 upcoming products -- and more are likely on the way.
Why? Topps' main office is based in New York City on the tip of Manhattan -- the epicenter of the nation's cases (click map for closer view). Meanwhile, its products are printed, packaged and initially distributed from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which is under lockdown conditions that have halted production there as well. The company also has other steps in traditional product production handled in Pennsylvania, also on lockdown, while its Topps Now and other online-first releases emanate from Florida, another state that has now implemented limits to businesses.
