Buzz Buys: Tua, Coco Gauff, Jade Cargill, Connor Bedard, new NASCAR, Bo Bichette, MLB legends, celebs, old mags & more
Buzz buys and busts a lot of boxes right here for Buzz Breaks, but one of my goals is to rip a little less and talk more about cardboard that I -- and you -- might like. One way to do that? Simple show and tell -- present a few pick-ups and say why they captured my attention.
So, with all that said, here are a few Buzz Buys ...

THIS SET IS A CLASSIC
The Card: Tua Tagovailoa 2023 Panini Luminance Gold (/250)
The Price: About $5.50
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This set was among many recent NFL releases on the high-end spectrum when it comes to box price, so, well, I'm not ripping it ... but when this one popped up in an online search I did some scrolling and I quickly realized that this set just might be one of the best photo-editing jobs done in all of modern football card history (view a lot of them here). I scouted listings and opted for this clean parallel of a top guy in the NFL this season and this one arrived so clean that there's a very good shot this will end up slabbed and in a future Making The Grade ... that's how much I like this card. The base set is full of strong images. Strong, strong images.

There are two more waves of discounted boxes to come later in today's big sale ... so keep watching.
Here are five boxes/cases that caught this collector’s eye in this third wave.
2017 Panini Donruss Optic NFL Mega Box lot (20 boxes)
These boxes can run streaky between their heavy dose of Rated Rookies and their Red & Yellow parallels -- and with rookies like Patrick Mahomes and Christian McCaffrey in there (among others) that means you have the potential for some monster boxes. These case-size lots aren't the cheapest out there but they have some big potential for sure on the rookie front but also offer some safety with a hit and inserts, too. Check out this past Buzz Break, for example. At the time I ripped it, some of those guys weren't as big as they are now. Whether you're ripping or opting to pick up some boxes or cases to hold, this might be a safe one either way.Buzz's Pick Six: 2019 Donruss baseball cards

A CONTINUING LEGACY
The Card: The San Diego Chicken (aka Ted Giannoulas) 2019 Donruss autographed memorabilia card (/85)
The Price: $99.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This fine feathered friend of baseball has had a place in Donruss packs since the early 1980s and this new set includes the latest in fowl ballcards. This particular six-piece looks to include a couple wings, a thigh and three jersey swatches plus the autograph from the man behind the beak, who has been signing meticulously for years despite having one of the longest names in cardboard history. I grabbed one of his memorabilia cards in recent years but these are always worth a look.Keep reading for five more interesting items in this week's roundup ...
