What's buzz-worthy: This year's NFL Draft is upon us with Round 1 last night, two more tonight and then the final four on Saturday. Thanks to NIL deals the last few years, it's rare for a notable player to not have cards these days -- at least players from major schools -- and this officially licensed set that's the focus of The List includes a bunch of guys drafted just last night, including the No. 1 pick, as well as a bunch of guys in the NFL right now who were drafted last year. There will likely be more new pros to come tonight, too, but for simplicity's sake we'll look at last night's names and then the first three rounds of last year on this edition of The List. How many made The List from that alone? Almost 30 players in this one -- from just a 100-card set -- with autographs, parallels and more in play.

2022 Bowman's Best University hobby box & eight-box case
The newest box in the big sale is one with a lot of potential between guys who are set to be drafted soon -- or perhaps later -- as well as cards and autos from guys who are already in the NFL. How is this possible? NIL deals that let players show up on cards well before draft time -- and that makes it one with a longer shelf life in terms of potential. Who's in here? Among the already-pro names are C.J. Stroud, Jahmyr Gibbs, Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson, Jordan Addison, Bijan Robinson, Will Anderson and Jaxon Smith-Njigba for starters. Among the 2024 draft hopefuls and potential future picks? Caleb Williams, Bo Nix, J.J. McCarthy, Blake Corum, Jordan Travis, D.J. Uiagalelei, Dallas Turner, J.C. Latham, Kool-Aid McKinstry and Taulia Tagovailoa to name a few. There are autos for a lot -- it not all -- of them in both insert sets and standard ink as well as a small lineup of rarer dual- and triple-auto cards, too. (There's heat here -- especially when slabbed.) The best part here beyond all of the parallel and potentially Super finds in play are two autographs in every single box. Cases should also be considered here, too.

2022 Bowman's Best University Football Hobby
It might be the season talking, but this box jumped out at me among the sales ranks as it's relatively new, includes a bunch of stars playing on Saturdays (thanks to NIL deals they're in here) and some notables who are now playing on Sundays right now, too. There are two Chrome autos per box here as well as quite a bit of insert and parallel potential, too, without breaking the bank. Sure, with a deeper checklist and names who won't be pros until later, there will be some leaner boxes than others -- like anything, really -- but with full logos, NIL guys, Chrome and parallels this one might have a shelf life a little longer than others in terms of popular players emerging on the fields and on collectors' minds. Among autos here? The last two Heisman Trophy winners, Bryce Young and Caleb Williams, along with Jordan Addison, Anthony Richardson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Heisman favorite J.J.
