USA Baseball & Panini America extend card-licensing deal
USA Baseball is still on Panini America's team.
Both parties revealed on Thursday that a third extension of their licensing deal that launched in 2012 has been signed, giving Panini the exclusive rights to create baseball cards for its stable of teams. That includes the Collegiate, 18U, 15U and 12U National Teams as well as its National Team Development Programs. It will also usher in the first cards for the USA Baseball Women’s National Team.
“For 14 years, Panini America and USA Baseball have collaborated to provide unparalleled early access to cards of the game’s next generation of stars,” said USA Baseball COO David Perkins in a prepared statement. “With today’s announcement, we are pleased to continue our partnership, and now also capture and deliver USA Baseball’s national team players, gold medals and other defining moments for the organization to Panini Instant.”

Prizm is going platinum and the reveal on Monday beyond the details of the new deal was the name of the first release, Prizm The Rolling Stones. It "will celebrate more than 60 years of the Stones as a band and chronicle their music and record-setting tours. The Prizm brand will provide a broad canvas to celebrate the Stones’ inimitable style and iconic artwork."

LIV Golf cards coming soon via exclusive Panini deal
LIV Golf is coming to cardboard.
Panini revealed its newest licensing seal on Thursday morning with a wave of six-card team sets for the company's teams via Panini Instant -- $19.99 per regular set and $34.99 for a set with one randomly selected parallel card for each of 13 teams in the first collection.
It launches "a multi-year partnership" that will be an exclusive as Panini ventures into golf cards for the first time.
"LIV Golf is thrilled to partner with Panini, a global brand committed to connecting with fans around the world through the love of sport," said LIV Golf Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman in a prepared statement. "Just as our league continues to innovate and bring professional team golf mainstream, our partnership will introduce new products to the market for millions of passionate fans and collectors to enjoy."
Kylian Mbappé autographs coming from Panini America
One of the world's biggest soccer stars is signing for Panini America.
Panini revealed on Monday that Kylian Mbappé signed an exclusive autograph trading card and memorabilia deal. Terms were not disclosed but that will lock him into signing for trading cards in its release and via Panini Authentic, its memorabilia division.
"It is such an honor for me to join the Panini family," Mbappé said in a prepared release. "As a child, I used to collect some of Panini trading cards, dreaming to be represented on these cards one day. Ten years later, here we are!"

Panini extends Christian Pulisic's five-year exclusive auto deal
Christian Pulisic won't be changing cardboard teams any time soon.
Panini America revealed on Wednesday that it has extended its exclusive long-term deal with the soccer star for autographs and memorabilia for another five years. He's been with the company since 2016.
“We’re proud to have Christian as an exclusive member of the Panini family – it’s a special relationship that has really blossomed during the first five years,” said Panini America CEO Mark Warsop in a prepared release. “Christian has been a driving force behind our entire soccer portfolio – both domestically and internationally. Oklahoma State's Cade Cunningham signs with Panini America
Panini America has added a new point guard to its team.
Oklahoma State star Cade Cunningham -- the likely No. 1 pick in this year's NBA Draft set for Thursday night -- signed an exclusive deal for cards and autographed cards which was revealed by the company on Tuesday.
“Cade took the collegiate basketball world by storm during his lone season at Oklahoma State, and we’re excited to be the exclusive source for his officially licensed trading cards and autograph trading cards,” said Panini America CEO Mark Warsop in a prepared release.
Panini America reveals deal getting college athletes cards now
New NCAA rules allowing college athletes making money off their likeness -- and signing autographs -- will mean amateurs are coming to cardboard very soon with Panini America now in on the action.
The company revealed Thursday that it has joined teams with OneTeam Partners, a leader in the group licensing space, to "produce, distribute, promote and sell college trading cards featuring current men’s and women’s college athletes who opt-in to OneTeam’s College Athlete Group Licensing program." Panini intends to create athletes' cards for several sports including football, basketball, baseball and the Olympic sports for both men's and women's competitors in the program.
"The trading card market is booming, and Panini is the leader in the category," said Ahmad Nassar, CEO of OneTeam, in a prepared release. "With its existing current college licenses, there is an amazing opportunity to make co-branded college and current college athlete cards for the first time in history – across schools and men’s and women’s sports. Likely top-five pick and NBA G League standout Jalen Green has signed an exclusive card and autographed card deal with the company, according to an announcement released on Thursday.
“Jalen is the kind of exciting, offensively gifted young player that fans and collectors alike clamor for and we’re excited to partner with him for such a meaningful relationship,” said Panini CEO Mark Warsop in a prepared release. “He will absolutely be a key figure in our products not just during his rookie season, but for years to come. No, that's not a trade-defying, on-the-court statement, it's the result of Panini America signing an exclusive autograph and memorabilia deal with the Mavericks star that was revealed on Thursday. That means a continued presence on Panini cards -- but no new ink elsewhere -- and then more Panini Authentic memorabilia signings.

Duke's R.J. Barrett signs exclusive card deal with Panini
A Duke star has signed with Panini America in advance of the NBA Draft.
All-American R.J. Barrett, who is projected to be among the top picks in next week's draft, has signed an exclusive card agreement revealed today. His first in-pack cards will arrive in 2019 Contenders Draft Picks and then in 2019-20 NBA Hoops in October. He will make his debut via Panini Instant after he is drafted.

Ja Morant signs exclusive autograph deal with Panini America
One of the possible top picks in this year's NBA Draft has a new team already.
He's former Murray State star Ja Morant and he's signed an exclusive autograph card and memorabilia deal with Panini America. He's perhaps going to be a top-five pick next month and his first autographed items will be available via Panini Authentic after the draft.

Charles Barkley signs autograph deal with Panini America
"The Round Mound of Rebound" is joining Panini America's team.
Hall of Famer Charles Barkley has signed an exclusive autograph deal with the Dallas-based company and that means he'll have his first certified autos in packs. He'll also sign memorabilia for Panini Authentic -- basketballs, jerseys and prints -- while his first cards will appear in 2017-18 Panini Noir.
“Barkley’s long absence from the trading card category has had fans clamoring and wondering if he would ever be featured on trading cards again,” Panini CEO Mark Warsop said in a prepared statement. ”This is a great day for NBA fans and all collectors as we will now be able to celebrate Charles’ illustrious career on trading cards and memorabilia.”
Oklahoma Sooners star Trae Young signs exclusive with Panini
Former Oklahoma Sooners basketball star and future first-round NBA Draft pick Trae Young has joined a new squad.
The Panini America team.
