Buzz Buys ... A LOT: "Huh-huh, Huh-huh ... he said promos"
Buzz buys a lot of stuff these days and for a few reasons, really. Sometimes it's just bargain-hunting, sometimes it's just something that strikes me. And other times it's a lot -- a group of things -- and that has happened enough lately I figured I'd try something different as a regularly appearing item. Sometimes my lots will be wins, sometimes they won't be ... but I'll let you decide.

Black November Wave 2 is here … and here are five I'd grab
If you hadn't noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices right now right here as Blowout Cards' Black November sales are going strong with Wave 2 just dropping.
The first wave is here and many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz once again had to sit down and ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases -- and here are five boxes/cases that caught this collector’s eye ... and there's far more that just might suit your tastes in the big sale.

BLAST FROM THE PAST
2012 Topps Archives baseball hobby box
Here's one I didn't expect to see pop up ... but it's a longshot spot to chase a rare Bryce Harper Rookie Card that will pay for the box. It's not cheap now but these boxes can include all kinds of stuff. Among the basic autos? A ton of memorable (cheap) names and then guys like Don Mattingly, Gary Carter, Hank Aaron, Ken Griffey Jr., Sandy Koufax, Yu Darvish and Willie Mays. There are also rare Karate Kid box-topper autos for sensei John Kreese (aka Martin Kove) and main Cobra Kai bad guy Johnny Lawrence played by Billy Zabka. Some rarer autos also include an array of top names but there could be receptions for that set in some cases so I won't focus on it ... but there are huge names there if live. There's a lot of other creative stuff here and two autos per box.Keep reading for a few more boxes you should consider (and are likely to end up in Buzz's cart).

Funko & IDW Publishing team up for Funko Universe Month comic books
You may know Funko Pop! figures from the toy aisle, but in May there will be a reason to hit the comic book shop if you're a fan of the big-headed and pint-sized stars.
May is Funko Universe Month -- and there will be a number of variant covers and one-shots where the iconic stars of a few franchises will be found as Pop! figures on comics from IDW Publishing.
It's a simple twist but it's one that should get the attention of a new collectors.
Topps is returning to the comic book business ... with Garbage Pail Kids
Younger collectors may not know it, but there was a time when Topps published comic books and magazines
And that time is back with the first issue of Garbage Pail Kids issue No. 1 -- "The Worst of 2016" -- which is being sold only initially via Topps.com. The books are $19.99 with a pair of stickers (Grim Jim and Nervous Rex) also included. A discount is available for those buying five copies of the book. It will be printed to order just like its other recent online GPK releases, according to the company's site.
