Buzz Poll: Does trade to Atlanta help or hurt Dansby Swanson's cards?
The No. 1 overall pick in this year's MLB Draft appears to be traded to the Atlanta Braves as part of a package for Shelby Miller agreed to on Tuesday night. So now Dansby Swanson's first Bowman Chrome autographs, which officially arrive tomorrow in 2015 Bowman Draft, show him with his old team, immediately perhaps making them less appealing to collectors on both sides of the trade.
Sure, Swanson is from Georgia -- that's a plus -- but Buzz has to wonder what collectors think of the move. Or, does Topps consider issuing a second version of a Swanson 2015 Bowman auto with a Photoshopped Braves uni -- remember, the Diamondbacks version is just that -- somewhere in 2016 packs?
Tell us what you think with our poll or in a comment below.

Do mistakes make you mad or make you want that card even more?

Your trading cards are made by people. Your trading cards aren't always perfect. Your trading cards are taken seriously by you -- and those who make them.
But mistakes can happen.
Most collectors haven't really thought about all the steps that go into making their trading cards -- a process that takes months with many people involved in several different locations before a single pack is shredded. As cardboard has become more complicated over the years with technology and inclusions such as autographs and memorabilia, there are even more chances at errors. And with more products and more deadlines, the chances for those errors grow, too.
Every single company has had errors of some type.
The card above? It's a 2015 Topps Triple Threads gem of Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota. It's a sweet card -- a 1/1 even -- and a pricey pull, but the autograph sticker is placed on the card upside down. It was pulled by group-breaker Prestige World Wide and shown off on Twitter Sunday without a mention if its extra-odd feature.
First Buzz: 2016 Topps UFC Knockout

What: 2016 Topps UFC Knockout MMA trading cards
Arrives: Spring 2016
Box basics: Two hits per pack with four 10-card packs per box, 12 boxes per caseWhat's buzz-worthy: The UFC women's division has faced some changes of late with Holly Holm dethroning Ronda Rousey as the champ so changes to the format of UFC Knockout also seem appropriate and seem just as big. This time around, there are two hits in every pack instead of one and there are just four packs in a box instead of 10. There will be at least one autograph per pack.

Javorius Allen, Marcus Mariota & Ryan Fitzpatrick among NFL's most Buzz-worthy players in Week 13
Take a look at the NFL's stat sheets for running backs and it's not a pretty sight these days in terms of production that would wow anyone. At least not on the Emmitt Smith Standard.
However, with the game continuing to change so, too, are the roles that RBs play. Take a look at the stat sheet for catches on Sunday and there was a new name right at the top -- and it wasn't a receiver. Ravens RB Javorius Allen had 12 catches for 131 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. Tack on 17 carries for 63 yards and the fourth-round pick out of USC looks even more impressive.
Could it be a fluke? Could it be an arrival? Only time will tell. For the season, Allen now has just 367 yards rushing and 242 yards receiving with just two touchdowns total on the year. Buzz bets there are some bargains to be had.

Buzz List: Five NFL players to watch in Week 13
With the Patriots jettisoned from the unbeaten ranks, all eyes are on MVP candidate Cam Newton as his 11-0 Carolina Panthers take on the high-powered offense and no-powered defense of the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon.Newton has thrown for 2,466 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, scoring seven more times on the ground. His 2011 Rookie Cards have to be among the most-watched right now, too, with Topps Chrome and Panini Contenders autos among perennial favorites with more tradition-minded collectors who can't swing for the high-end brands. (Or maybe that's just Buzz.)
Something wants Buzz to call an upset here because the Saints have potential on offense, but ... we'll see.

Buzz List: Five 1990s rockers who need a certified autograph card

When the news broke that former Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland had died at age 48 on Thursday night, the chatter online turned to the memorable songs of the band that was a memorable one for a stretch in the 1990s.
Naturally, Buzz wondered if he had any trading cards -- knowing that rock n' roll and cardboard have never really meshed in the past save for a few forgettable releases in the early 1990s. It turns out Weiland had a single cut autograph produced in modest quantity from a major company. In 2009, Upper Deck made 23 copies of a card with a cut auto. For the record, it's in the 2009 Upper Deck Prominent Cuts Cut Signatures set and just a single one had been sold in recent months. (Its low-quality image is seen here.)That got Buzz brainstorming ... which definitively 1990s rockers should have a certified autograph card?

Minor League Baseball's career home run leader retires with more cardboard than you might expect
He's a real-life Crash Davis and just like the big-screen journeyman the career of former big-leaguer Mike Hessman is over.If you don't know Hessman, it's OK -- you're probably like most of us. You might have one of his baseball cards long forgotten in a box somewhere -- from back in the days when he was a rookie for the Atlanta Braves and a guy who finally got his shot after eight seasons in the minor leagues.
That was back in 2003, but he's still in the news now.
Sure, this will be Kobe Bryant's final season -- but he's far from done appearing on basketball cards
After a rough start to his 20th season in the NBA, a 37-year-old Kobe Bryant confirmed in a Players Tribune essay published Sunday night that this year will be his last. It's probably not a surprise to most NBA fans given his injuries in recent years, but an end to a career doesn't mean an end to cardboard, either. In fact, we're probably just getting started with this Panini America spokesman.
