Fast Five: MLB names I'm watching in the postseason

Fast Five is a quick list that might offer a basic starting point for a themed collection or new focus -- five things that could be fun for a beginner or a new way to add something to your stash if you're a grizzled veteran.
This time? Five MLB names I'm watching in the postseason ...
THE NEW KID ...
Julio Rodriguez, Seattle Mariners (prospect cards since 2019, RC in 2021)
I've been sold on him since early in the year, but the postseason and anything this newcomer does will get a lot more attention with the Mariners' successes already surprising some and with more prime time attention to come. His first season in The Show got him a new monster deal (12 years, $209M) before it was even over -- so he'll be a key in Seattle for some time -- after a year that had him hitting .284 with 28 homers and 75 RBI in 132 games. His RC logo cards this year have been trickling out in SP form for the most part but there will be more to come -- and then there's his Rookie Card and prospect cards to look for, too, from past years. He's hyped and he's pricey but if he and his team can get things done in the postseason -- something the Hall of Famer called Kid didn't -- he'll be a money guy even more than now and for some time. (I'm not sure that'll happen, though, but it could.) I'm not a big fan of how his autograph looks so I won't overpay there, but I think we'll see a lot of good cardboard coming for him to go with fun stuff from the past.Keep reading for four more making up the list this time.

They're here ... 2022 Topps Chrome silver packs arrive

Topps' silver-pack fix to the missing rookie short-prints in 2022 Topps Chrome are now live with the five missing players slowly arriving from these packs in Refractor form.
Breakers started receiving the packs yesterday as noted on the forum -- one for every box purchased -- from Topps. Blowout Cards customers' packs will ship no later than this Tuesday after they arrived here today. Tracking will be emailed the day that silver-pack shipments are processed.
The cards that were inadvertently not put into packs by its printing/packing company are card Nos. 221-225 -- short-printed cards of rookies Bobby Witt Jr., Julio Rodriguez, Spencer Torkelson, Hunter Greene and C.J. Abrams. The silver packs will include these cards inserted randomly with others. These rare cards were late additions to the checklist as SPs but didn't get put into hobby packs.

Best In The Galaxy: Topps' Star Wars Chrome Galaxy is a Force

Star Wars has a rich history on Topps cardboard reaching back to the beginning in 1977 and we've seen countless releases through the years all highlighting the history and the characters of the saga from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
Star Wars Chrome Sapphire Edition, for example, revisits the original 1970s cards but in a new way -- a Chromed take on vintage and the original tale -- but there's another brand that's also generating some Lightsaber-worthy heat in a Chromed return of sorts, too. That's Star Wars Chrome Galaxy, which arrived for the first time last year and has a new edition on the way later this month -- one that's already hotter than a Tatooine summer in its pre-sale stage.
Why? Well, last year's mix included powerful stuff such as autographs and Superfractors to go with artwork that's from some past releases as well as new looks at characters throughout the universe -- all in one spot.
