Ticket Stud or Ticket Dud? You decide ... here's Chapter 40

.With these Ticket Stud or Ticket Dud stories I'm turning just a tiny bit of that energy just a few degrees away from cards (we'll still have plenty of them here) for a different kind of cardboard. What am I doing? Simple ... this is an occasional dip into some random ticket lots -- a show and tell showing something small with a story.
This time? A pair of players who swapped teams on some colorful spring training tickets from the past.
Keep reading to see the details this time ... and tell me if you think it's a Ticket Stud or a Ticket Dud.

What's Buzz-worthy: I found these among a small lot of Braves spring tickets from that year -- one that marked the first spring games for Ronald Acuña Jr. but he was not among these. But what did stand out here was the irony of the pairing of players on these pairs -- former NL MVP Freddie Freeman who left the Braves for the Dodgers and former NL MVP candidate Matt Kemp who played a pair of seasons with Atlanta after spending most of his career with Los Angeles. ... Spring stats don't mean much when it comes to the record book, so I didn't dwell much on the box scores this time, but Freeman did homer in the game where he's pictured -- one off of Justin Verlander -- while the other game was R.A. Dickey pitching against his former team with a Michael Conforto homer the only longball of the day.
Stud or Dud? Visually, these are studs if you ask me -- a lot of spring tickets look way more generic than these -- and the Freeman appearance on a spring HR game ticket is a nice item ... if you like Freeman. (I'm not a fan.) The other ticket has a little more awkward of a photo but at least it's a name player.
