Upper Deck's latest Michael Jordan autograph piece could let you have fun with game ... but you shouldn't

A new item from Upper Deck Authenticated combines those two things with a twist.

michael-jordan-autographed-1988-slam-dunk-backboard-uda-authenticated-signature-angleThe MJ Autographed 1988 Slam Dunk Backboard display includes a mini breakaway basket -- one that might be screaming for a mini foam ball's use but the company warns that " the breakaway rim is not for actual play of any sort. It is a memorabilia piece only."

Of course, the price for the signed piece -- Jordan signed the shooter's square with a black paint pen -- should also deter any gamesmanship as it's presently available for $3,499.99 via the Upper Deck Store. (That comes in addition to common sense -- you don't want to ruin the autograph ... even with a)

The overall piece measures 30.5 inches by 18.5 inches and shows His Airness from the 1988 event where he took off from the free-throw line to beat Dominique Wilkins in the final round with a score of 50.

Update: Upper Deck also has released a LeBron James piece showcasing both of his runs with the Cleveland Cavaliers. It is limited to 123 copies and costs $1,499.99.
