Black November Wave 3 ... here are five deals I'd grab now

If you hadn't noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices right now right here as the new wave of Blowout Cards' Black November sales is here

Many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz once again had to ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases -- and here are five that caught this collector’s eye ... and there's far more that just might suit your tastes in the big sale.

STRIKE NOW ... BIGGEST INK IS REDEMPTION
2022 Topps Heritage High Number Hobby Box & Case
This release being in Black November sales will be one of those things we look back at years from now and wish we had loaded up on it a lot more ... and a part of that sentiment could come as soon as next year. In fact, Oct. 31, 2024, is when the redemptions for Julio Rodriguez's very-in-demand autos in this one expire. Now, you shouldn't expect his ink in every case -- that's a reason it's a $600 card for just the basic version -- but there are a few autos per case and a hit per box here for starters. Atop that, there are inserts and variations all flowing regularly that can have key names attached and easily pay for the box. Beyond that, the base set itself is small so you should land most of the set in every box (or come close) and that means you can stockpile key names here for slabbing or future deals ... or sell them off in lots as timing works for you. Among the rookies? Rodriguez, Spencer Strider, Bobby Witt Jr., Spencer Torkelson, Jeremy Peña and a ton of others. Among the auto Relics? Mike Trout, Matt Olson, Joey Votto. Among the standard autos? Bryce Harper, Witt, Carlton Fisk, Juan Marichal, Jim Palmer, Rodriguez, Juan Soto, Votto, Olson, Trout, Nolan Ryan, Ronald Acuña Jr., Steve Carlton and many others. The long-running power of the brand and the relative scarcity (difficulty to pull ink) can make some names big surprises here. There are a lot of formats to consider here but this one is, by far, the one with the biggest potential. Oh, and there are Hot Boxes, too.

Keep reading for a few more boxes you should consider (and are likely to end up in Buzz's cart).

QUALITY CHROME ... WITH TO INK CHASE, TOO
2021 Topps WWE Slam Attax Chrome Box & Case
This was a one-and-done flashy gaming release for the UK audience (hence "colour" in the blurb down low) and if you bought it from Topps UK back in the day the conversion rate and then international shipping meant these weren't that cheap ... and they weren't to start as, well, it's Chrome. This Chrome is easily among the cleanest I have ever seen on the printing front and this one's present sale price is why several boxes are on making their way into my hands right now. The crop of names here is heavy on present and newer stars while the bigger names of the past are in there, too. The color flows many times per box and there are autos to chase as well, but not in every box. Base autos are all limited to only 50 copies and notables such as Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Bret Hart, Charlotte Flair, John Cena, Edge, Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Mick Foley, Rhea Ripley, Roman Reigns, Sash Banks, Toni Storm, Walter (Gunther) and even Triple H are in there. Oh, and Superfractors are also in play across the board. The price is right for dabbling -- check out this past break of mine.

UNIQUE FINDS ALL AROUND
2018 Topps U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hopefuls Hobby Box & Case
When you rip into one of these you'll land at least three hits (at least one auto) and a ton of inserts for names who can aways pop up on collectors' radars (every few years) and sell well as they don't have a lot of card appearances in general. There are variations and parallels in play here, too, to offer up names in a lot of ways ... and some keys have several appearances. Lindsey Vonn has her own set here -- with ink -- while other autos to consider are Chloe Kim, Kristi Yamaguchi, Michelle Kwan, Johnny Weir, Bode Miller, Adam Rippon, Shani Davis and others ... and since there are multiple versions the overall volume per card is lower, too. Check out the eBay asking prices and completeds ... there's a lot of potential from these cheap boxes. (See a break here.)

RIP IT IN BULK
2018 Donruss NASCAR Blaster Box Case
At $5 this one is my gluttony pick ... everybody should rip into a cheap case at least once to say they did it and I did just that with this one in the past. Why? There's a hit (auto or mem) in every box and there are cases out there that have yielded way more ink than mine did. (I got the same volume of autos as I would have found for a pair of hobby boxes at same price.) There's a lot to look for here, too, between cards of newcomers and then variations and inserts showcasing past and present stars. If you land a key name on ink or in some spots, that could pay for a number of boxes here if not the whole thing.

POUR ONE OUT & RIP THE POTENTIAL FINALE
2022 Topps Heritage Minor League Baseball Hobby Box & Case
Unless some surprise off-season reveals are still to come, this one is likely the end of the line for a brand that had run for more than a decade of presenting big-league prospects in their MiLB unis on classic Heritage designs. The run went from the 1962 start up to this one, which is 1973 Topps and and still a strong crop ... though that first set included guys like Mike Trout and Bryce Harper. It's not a set without some quirks -- a lot of the better names on the checklist are in the SPs (and my Buzz Break box was a mispack on that front with none) -- but there's still a lot to find ripping into a box. Guys on the checklist include Anthony Volpe, Jordan Walker, Evan Carter, Corbin Carroll, Gunnar Henderson, Bobby Witt Jr., Jasson Dominguez, Elly De La Cruz, Jordan Lawlar and Marcelo Mayer for starters. It's got all the quirks of regular Heritage, except everything here is lower-volume as MiLB is a hobby-only release ... so if you find a good name on a key card it's a strong hold or sell if you need to. Among the autos? De La Cruz, Lawlar, Jackson Merrill, Matt McLain, Mayer, Blaze Jordan and even Bo Jackson among others. This is one for collectors but it has sleeper potential over time with a lot of looks you won't see on other cards ... and interest could grow over time, too, if there's nothing like it to come in the future.

There's plenty more among the Black November sale items -- check 'em out here -- and we'll have several more to come leading up to Black Friday.
