What's Buzz-worthy: This Walmart-exclusive brand returns for another go with noting but artists' takes on MLB stars and with this premium box format ($80) you get two guaranteed autos and a one-in-84-box shot at some original artwork used to make one of the cards in the product instead of a jumbo box-topper card. I almost passed grabbing one of these this week because there should be blaster boxes on the way -- I'd prefer this in smaller bites -- but the Pete Alonso auto was a solid find here making the box generally A-caliber when you consider the volume of what's found. This one also had a rarer inclusion inside as The Impressionists cards are one in 88 packs, but I'll say that was my least-favorite rendering of anything in the box. There are numbered parallels on pretty much everything to be found along with printing plates, sketch cards and even some cut autographs in the mix. The biggest barrier, though, will be whether one likes art sets or not -- some artists' takes will work for collectors while some may not. (My gut feeling is that many prefer precise photo-realistic takes but artists will not all do that depending on their media or style.) I landed some key RCs and some other good names so this one paid off relatively well for me. I'm not totally sold on it but you may see me bust a blaster or two if/when they arrive. There are some notable autos to be found here -- I saw a Derek Jeter on eBay for example -- and they are in here as there are no other versions of this release beyond what you'll find at Walmarts.

Product Grade: B+
Box Grade:
 A-
Fun Grade: B+ (good volume here though price seems high)

I bought this box of 2020 topps gallery at one of my local Wal-Mart stores here in Missouri. I pulled not 2 but 6 autos out of this box. I pulled # HT-14 of rookie Jordan Alvarez Auto. I pulled # HT-39 Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Auto. I pulled # HT- Javier Baez Auto. I pulled # HT- 27 Walker Buehler Auto. And I pulled # 111 numbered 23/25 Marwin Gonzalez Auto. And the last # 104 Jonathan Cullen Auto. This box I bought at my local Wal-Mart has to be what they call a hotbox of 2020 Topps Gallery monster box. I was shocked.
