What's Buzz-worthy: The bonus inclusions here are simple -- maybe too simple -- but they were the allure for me here when this one popped up on pre-order. Having opened it, I'm not sure it was worth it ($39.98 at Walmart) price-wise. There are 10 pins here -- they are small and not all that impressive -- 25 Oversized cards (not in a pack just laid in the tray bellow a cardboard piece that looks like a pack, 25 Companion cards also loose in the tray that are 100-percent identical to a base card save for the notation on the back (see at right) and then the saver for me was the Silver pack which includes five of 50 cards with that texture that are apparently only found here. I landed Trout and Soto so I did well there on the non-rookie front. The regular packs are snot-glued together into their fanned-out poses as well as into the tray (a drop of glue holds each together) so they won't fall out ... but you'll also have to open the packs to get the packs apart here so it was kind of messy and annoying. This one included 10 more inserts than a blaster at just short of half the price but if prices here were to dip any once they start showing up I think the extras are nice enough to make it a simple, cheap rip. The packs do have odds showing most inclusions here so there's long-odd potential. My first packs here included Harris and Rutschman so that was good. I think the real highlight here is the Stars insert which is retail-only (all formats) and is clean and good-looking but not rare. If some of the really popular names are found here on some of those bonus cards there could be some early fireworks here ... but a checklist was not released and a rundown of players was only shown for the pins on the box. Either way, I think patience here will be your friend as I suspect a lot of these will get ripped.

Product Grade: A
Box Grade:
A- (thanks to perhaps only the silver pack)
Fun Grade: B (more of the variety items would be better than more packs)
