A League Of Her Own Green Crystals Pre-production Proof (1) – Geena Davis (1/1)

What’s Buzz-worthy: I opened more than a few of these proof packs -- a 1/1 card inside them every single time -- back in 2024, so when a batch of 10 from the  2025 follow-up release in this brand presented itself I bit with ease. Why? Sure, between the colors and textures here -- there are admittedly a lot -- they are all still 1/1 cards. That’s one reason. But a second is that there are a lot names here without a lot of cardboard and then, a third reason, there are other surprises to be found here like this one. She’s one of the top stars for an iconic women in sports movie, A League Of Their Own, and on an insert that carries that same name. Davis plays Dottie Hinson who was a member of the Rockford Peaches of the real-life All-American Girls Professional Baseball League that was a reality from 1943-54 during World War II. Hinson was a character based on a few real-world players in the 1992 comedy -- see its trailer here -- and this was a nice first find for me. The standard card in this color/texture in the main release also was a 1/1 ... so there’s not much competition here in the real release. There are eight textures for this card and several colors ... but only one copy of each one made for a proof. For less than $5 a pack and with everything a 1/1 card, I’ll dabble.
