What's Buzz-worthy: I recently spotted one other figure from this brand out in the wild and that led me down the rabbit hole to see what else was out there ... and this ode to a classic film was a no-brainer for me to grab. With the chase figures one in six and a holiday sale over in Funkoland, I bit on six ... which arrived as a pair of sealed three-figure cases. So, here we are on a Buzz Break of a case ... and I didn't land both versions. Bummer, Dude. (Also a reason they might be selling well on eBay, though there may have been some distribution issues as I never saw this one at Walmart like it's supposedly to be as an exclusive. Maybe plans changed?) ... Ultimately, the only mystery with this break is whether you land the variation figure or not and I struck out. What are these? Blockbuster Rewind is a smaller-sized Funko Pop!-ish take on various past movies/shows with figures that are packed in an oldschool Blockbuster video rental-style package (about six inches) with a plastic membership-style plastic Character Card. The line launched this past fall and there are already plenty of figures out now or on the way for dozens of franchises with chase figures all in the mix. Among them? Everything from Scooby-Doo to Ghostbusters, Dumb And Dumber, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Crow, Batman, The Lord Of The Rings and plenty more. They'll cost around $12-15 depending on location and if they are exclusives. The appeal to some might be how the packaging can keep things orderly in one's library like games or tapes and not the chaos of random toys, but I dig the cards that these come with and it does look like a chase figure comes with a chase card -- more to collect. I will totally be grading one of these cards, and I will do so knowing these won't grade that well with centering and surface scratches on the plastic (probably from the plastic tray above them in the pack) creating challenges. Will I do more? Well, I struck out on the chase figure here ... so look for a second case break of this one at some point soon.
Product Grade: A+ (really like the card element with these -- see below)
Case Grade: B (chase figure would get the A)
Fun Grade: B (I think these need one or two subjects per film/show to add to chase beyond just a variant)
