Here's this month's roundup of items that have recently caught my eye as a buyer ...

OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN ...
The Card: Captain Britain 2025 Topps Chrome Marvel Comics Yellow Lava Refractor
The Price: Under $2
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: There seems to be an influx of deep-pocketed collectors chasing down Marvel cards hot and heavy in recent years with Precious Metal Gems and Chrome Refractor rarities being gobbled up to the point that almost everything new is seemingly of the flashy variety like this with big box prices attached. This collector doesn’t go uptown without some guaranteed stuff inside -- hits such as autographs, sketch cards or memorabilia guaranteed -- so there’s not been much dabbling for me and I’m OK with that. (Can’t collect everything.) This simple card was my first taste of this release for a character I liked the most back when I was a regular comics dabbler in the early 1990s (when baseball cards got pricey and a bit uninspired at the same time). This modern take on the 1980 Topps MLB design is one that, while I’m familiar with it, doesn’t really resonate with me to chase ‘em all. I also wished that the edges and corners were a little cleaner here ... but I have seen rougher releases with chromium-stock sets from all companies in recent years. If you have the willpower and can dig in not worried about box prices, there are some interesting releases out there in the comics realm. I used to casually dabble more in the non-sports realm when the boxes were cheaper but singles like this might be where I look more often if something strikes me. There’s little doubt that the ceiling for rarer singles is higher than ever if you pull something good, too.

TOYING AROUND
The Item: Gunnar Henderson Funko Pop! figure
The Price: $14.95
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: I recently picked off a handful of non-card items like this just to mix things up here on the simple side of things and this young star in the making looks the part to me on this Funko Pop! toy. (This is also a subtle reminder that they’re still around and if you like their stuff you should grab them -- nothing is made forever, really.) There’s a lot one could collect on the Pop! front and I’ll admit I have not bought nearly as much as I used to compared to back in the Toys R Us days where a lap around the place could end up with a half-dozen things in a cart you didn’t know existed but you needed when you saw it. (I don’t get that with point-and-click shopping when it comes to toys.) The pose here is cool -- a bit better than a lot of basic figure poses -- and that lured me along with the uni and the colors. Most of my Pop! figures are from the non-sports side (more music, movies and wresting) vs. the traditional sports but they’re always worth the look ... though they were more enticing at their original lower prices.

I SAW HIM ... IN A BLIND-DRAW BOX
The Item: John Cena autographed The Last Time Is Now retirement tour 11-by-14 -- created and only initially sold by WWE
The Price: $27
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This is the second one of these I landed earlier this year via a mystery box scenario and, well, I’ll totally take it. Here’s part of what I said last time ... the year-long retirement tour of WWE's top active star meant plenty of city-specific merch at many of his stops and then other general stuff like this signed print that was sold at other events. This one isn't tied to any one city -- many are and with some having announced editions of 1,000 copies -- and this one didn't have a specific volume signed. These were not sold unsigned and were released by WWE, making this a certified auto via them. He's also been a signing machine for a long time. Watch this video from years ago. I have had his auto a few times on cards and other items from back in the day, so new stuff like this would not have been on my radar or in my collection if it wasn't for a mystery find.

WAS IT A CLASSIC?
The Item: 2026 World Baseball Classic program
The Price: $15.95
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This WBC came and went quickly for me -- I admittedly didn’t watch much, even the highlights -- but I did pick off a clean and crisp program for the event because I was a little surprised they even bothered to make them. It arrived with some nice embossing and high-gloss touches where this could make for a nice slab at some point -- it’s basically perfect -- but it would have to get in line behind a lot of other mags I have needed slabbed for some time.

IT'S DRAFT TIME
The Cards: Ty Simpson 2024 Pulse Premiere Red (/49) & 2023 Leaf Pro Set Metal Silver Prismatic (/10)
The Price: $5 total
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This Alabama QB didn't have the extensive statistical resume that’s been common of Crimson Tide guys who have gone on to the NFL in recent years, but he’s had a boatload of cardboard appearances thanks to NIL deals and a number of companies dabbling in the college ranks. (There are at least five I can think of.) Because of that, he’s pretty cheap and I picked off this pair of cards since they’re on the rarer side and look a lot more advanced than some stuff out there these days. He may end up being a late first-round pick or a second-rounder in the NFL Draft that’s slated for later this month. (Time is flying.) I’m not going all-in on anybody from my team right now -- the Nick Saban era spoiled me and names from then on the cardboard downturn might be more on my radar as a bargain-buyer -- but I do still need to track down an autograph here.

IT’S DRAFT TIME II
The Card: Bryce Young (with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell) 2023 Panini Rookies & Stars Draft Class Red
The Price: Under $1
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: The color of parallel here worked for my School Ties stash and this one also actually jumped out at me with its commissioner cameo. He seems to be in there a few times with these photos ... but I’m not sure he’s ever had a card of his own despite 20 years in the job. This, too, is a reminder that NFL Draft cardboard will be coming ... and this year it will be new players and cardboard from a different player, Topps.

WE SALUTE YOU
The Item: AC/DC For Those About To Rock 3D lenticular poster (18-by-24) by Collectionzz (announced /200)
The Price: $39
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Remember Sportflics cards where you get one image on the card front when viewed one way and then another when you turn it? It’s simple stuff ... but it’s much cooler when the art is colorful and the image is huge like this piece. This legendary rock band has had a ton of cool posters over the years and this one, which is more of a commemorative release with art from illustrator Cuyler Smith, is the first I got in my hands for a fraction of its original price at auction. (The eBay asking prices are steeper ... add a one to the front of my price for this size ... smaller-size ones are still cheap.) The animated gif here doesn’t do it justice, but I went that route since photographing oversized isn’t as clean ... let alone a piece with two images.

RIDE THE WAVE ...
The Item: Sol Ruca autographed 8-by-10 photo (JSA Witnessed)
The Price: $20 via High Spots
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This athlete has had her moments in WWE but isn’t quite a regular on the main roster yet -- it’s probably coming around Wrestlemania -- and I’m 99.9-percent sure the uncropped version of this photo has her surfboarding one of her opponents. (Maybe ... that’s part of her mid-match schtick.) All jokes aside, she’s going to be popular once she arrives -- she already is on cards -- and her ink will be in high demand (it already is) but far more than my price here. I’ve gone the signed photo route a few times as her cards can be pricey when there’s ink. Atop that, her signature has evolved ... this auto a bit earlier one with her full name and a wave in “Sol” to go with her then care-free, surfer-girl persona. Her card autos are simpler and a newer sig style is a bit more loose and larger ... a lot of variety to consider here (for now as you can still find them).

TWICE AS NICE
The Cards: Bo Bichette 2023 Topps Brooklyn Collection & Blue (/40) parallel
The Price: About $10.50 total
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: I’ve noted it often, but the thicker stock used here and on a lot of other sets like this is almost always (but not 100 percent of the time) quite grading-friendly ... so that’s a reason I picked off not only a blue parallel -- the best parallel for him for this era if you ask me -- and then I did a normal card, too, as that one was cheap. This design is funky for sure but in some ways it still works. I think a high-end retro set might sell better than some card companies might think, though this brand has trended away from what I’d like more than it has nailed it.

A TRIO OF SIGS ...
The Cards: Shotzi Blackheart 2023 Panini Chronicles WWE Origins Holo Silver Autographs (/25), 2023 Panini Impeccable WWE Stainless Stars autographs (/99) & 2025 Topps Chrome WWE Sapphire Edition Blue Brand autograph
The Price: About $100 total
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This trio of autos for my favorite wrestler are from the end of her WWE run with the Panini picks being a rarer card and a metal card signed with an on-card sig from a premium brand. While the metal card is probably the nicest, the Chrome is the one that cost me the most (almost $50) thanks to the surge of interest last year with the return of Chrome. (It could have been worse -- I waited it out and grabbed one of each of her autos from Chrome and Sapphire since they were redemptions.) One interesting thing to see here is how time away from WWE with injury (and fewer signing sessions) perhaps led her to going back to more of a full sig that she’s still using.

ORIGINAL PAPER
The Item: Andy Pafko & Joe Black -- Sept. 12, 1952, United Press Photo original photograph
The Price: $17
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This is another press photo I picked up from a dealer selling items directly from Pafko’s estate -- and I have plenty more to come here between this monthly series and others. I’ve found some odd stuff for sure and this photo is one that’s not that -- it’s a traditional baseball photo. It was at some point obtained by Pafko and sat stored for some time with its info sheet a little tattered but still attached at 74 years old. It’s got the proper stamping for photos of the era, too, which just adds to the collective variables. Atop that, Black was a rookie with the Brooklyn Dodgers here and he won the Rookie of the Year award with a 15-4 record, 15 saves and a 2.15 ERA that season. The Dodgers won the NL pennant but lost the World Series in seven games to the Yankees.

A CURIOSITY BUY
The Items: Black Sabbath Tiny Vinyl “Paranoid/Iron Man” -- Target-exclusive 4-inch records (two of ‘em)
The Price: $30 for the pair
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: I saw an ad for Tiny Vinyl on Instagram -- yep, it worked, social media overlords -- and I picked off a pair of these just to see novelty of it all and perhaps (more than perhaps ... just not right now) grade the sealed one for an added oddity in my slabs stash. What are these? The name says it all but the corporate spiel goes like this: "These 4-inch records are as real as it gets — just tiny. Tiny Vinyl is a new pocket-sized way to enjoy your favorite artists. They hold one song on each side, and play on most manual turntables.” They’re a total novelty but them being pretty close to card size got me to bite ... and I don’t even own a record player.

BACK IN ... AEW? (AND THE CAGE)
The Card: Ronda Rousey 2020 Topps WWE Undisputed Green (/50)
The Price: Under $4
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This release is easily a favorite of mine from all of the Topps WWE cardboard made over the years as the images are crisp and clean, the stock is thicker and razor sharp and the parallel designs (just the added color as seen here) keeps it subtle and keeps the emphasis on the photography. I think this is among the elite WWE sets of all time and the checklist is pretty tight, too, despite the fact that most people here probably ripped for the autographs and memorabilia cards that came one per pack for a modest price. (That also is a reason why it’s up there. It delivered without needing a loan to open some, though it was high-end in its time. Times have changed.) With Rousey set to return to MMA action this summer -- a bit of a surprise -- her appearance in AEW was even more jarring with who knows what might come next there. All that news pulled this one out of its spot in my files waiting for a slot here. I really like this one, especially at that price, even if her WWE run ended kind of flat.

HUMBLE ORIGINS?
The Card: Joe Rock 2021 Panini Elite Extra Edition Prime Numbers A Signatures (/200)
The Price: $1.25
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Baseball Reference is a really solid site for collectors if you want it to be -- and if you collect with variables in mind other than monetary value. The jersey on his chest got me to do some looking and I was surprised by his path that did lead to time in the majors for the Tampa Bay Rays last season and some spring training time this year. (He played in three games last year with 11 Ks in seven innings.) He was a second-round pick out of Ohio University (not Theeee Ohio State University) in 2021. That’s a program that spawned Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt and a tiny crop of other big-leaguers but that’s not where it started for Rock per BR. He’s also linked to Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio, which has a population of less than 6,000 people and is probably best known for being the home of the Wilson football factory where all of the NFL’s footballs are hand made. Despite that linking, It doesn’t look like he played -- heck, maybe it’s a typo -- but either school to the majors is a big leap. Want to start a state, city or school kind of collection? Hit that site and search some of the links found in bios. I bet you find names and then stuff you might not have known about if you do some hunting.

STOCKPILED A DEBUT
The Cards: Mariah May 2024 UD AEW Rookie Cards ... plus, Silver Foil, Pyro, Gold & Steel Cage (/249) parallels
The Price: $1.50 for the base up to $12.25 for the serial-numbered version
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This batch includes a lot of duplication and my stacks are all kinds of mixed together here, too, where the only way I’d know how many I own would be to track them down and count them -- there are 17 here (these are stacks from three different photo sessions mixed) and I know I graded at least two others. So, what’s the deal? This was her arrival in packs for the first time -- a Rookie Card -- despite a decent amount of international experience and some other “cards” that weren’t of the more-traditional variety. A lot of these were picked off during her feud with “Timeless” Toni Storm in AEW -- some of the best (and bloodiest) matches in a long time if not ever for the women’s ranks -- and there were plenty of epic promos and other segments, too, over a feud lasting parts of a couple years. These days, she’s Blake Monroe over in NXT and I’ll admit my buying has slowed a lot ... but I think there will be more to come in WWE. I need to explore more on this front and her other 2024 cards that were delayed arrivals.

SMASHED THAT BUY BUTTON ...
The Items: Assorted Smashing Pumpkins concert posters
The Price: About $10 on average (highest was just $20)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This batch of concert posters from recent years for the long-running band all came into my hands at various times over the last couple months via auction and at a fraction of their original prices. A couple here were $35 at debut and most were $50 a pop at arrival either on their own or with a companion trading card. These are originals and all have announced volumes with some being numbered. Some apparent business changes for the main merch/poster distributor led to a surplus of stuff on the market that were gobbled up by serious collectors and dealers and they’re still trickling out into other collectors’ hands. Since I had these -- and actually a few more -- for this band alone, I figured I’d present all these at the same time here rather than a few at a time over in my new Stacking Paper series each month. The poster bug has bit me bad this year -- in part because of the prices, limited volumes and impressive work. (These digital images really don’t do them justice.) I can’t swing some of the biggest bands I like just yet ... but I think I will at some point.

THE THINGS WE DO FOR GRADING ...
The Items: Shotzi Blackheart -- Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Spring 2026 (10 copies)
The Price: $100 for the lot direct from publisher
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: When I found out my favorite wrestler made a little history, landing some copies of this -- her first wrestling magazine cover -- was on my to-do list and, well, here we are. I landed these and then a signed copy direct from her and even a signed photo from the main interior image for her award-winning year thanks to her online streaming sales ... but I needed a batch so I could pick off a couple of the cleanest copies to send in for grading. (I’ll have to get them pressed thanks to some common paper flaws on all issues but they should be fine after that.) Why? I’m a collector here and slabbed PWI issues are on my radar.

THREE OF AN ICON
The Cards: Claudia Cardinale 1966-68 Dutch Gum TV66-TV68 Popbilder Unnumbered, 1966 Hellas Suosikki-Jenkki & 1962 Dutch Gum Numbered Set 4
The Price: About $9.50 total
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This trio of cards for this 1960s actor is merely my latest batch of some casual dabbling -- once or twice a year I’ll do a curiosity search and add them to my stash if they’re different or cheap. These were both, though I may have at least one of them already. I won’t pretend to know these sets -- everything here is an international release -- but it’s always good to mix things up as a collector.

SOME ADMIRABLE THOUGHTS ...
The Item: David Robinson -- Game Plan Basketball 1987 College & Pro Preview issue
The Price: $4 and change
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This was an on-screen/stream pick-up and it looked like an interesting piece for an eventual No. 1 draft pick and now Hall of Famer with a basketball résumé that is deep at all levels. What I didn’t notice was the light bend on the right side and the chip out of the cover at the bottom that must have blended in with the photo when I saw it. I totally had an eye on a slab here if it arrived clean enough. Why? This comes two years before his Rookie Cards. With those issues, though? Not worth grading ... even at $4. If I was an absolute Spurs or Robinson diehard? Maybe. This seems like much more of an oddball than his Sports Illustrated covers where high-grade copies of earlier ones have some meaty asking prices. At the same time, the paper is cheaper and the demand might not be as strong despite it being pre-NBA.

EIGHT MEN OUT ...
The Cards: D.B. Sweeney & Charlie Sheen on 2024 Leaf Pro Set Metal White & Leaf Vivid Colorful Combos Autographs Pre-production proof cards (1/1)
The Price: About $5 apiece
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This pair of proofs came my way as part of a lot buy and I really liked the looks of both cards that use Eight Men Out photos as both were cast members for the Black Sox scandal movie from 1988. That Pro Set design in white almost feels like the card itself is wearing White Sox pinstripes, while the dual is a pretty balanced card where the real one would also include ink.

WAIT, WHAT?
The Item: She-Hulk No. 8 (2022) -- NetEase Games variant cover featuring Howard The Duck (Collect Forever uncirculated copy)
The Price: $10
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This variant is a nice one with an iconic character in play but not the one on the nameplate -- that’s one thing I’ll probably never understand from the comics realm. But, that said, I do like it and this soft-slabbed copy worked for me. (At least this way there really aren’t any surprises when it comes to condition.)

HE’S TOO OLD FOR THIS 💩
The Item: Danny Glover autographed and inscribed 11-by-14 Lethal Weapon photo
The Price: $37
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This oversized photo seemed solid to me for the price so I bit, especially with the inscription of an iconic line used in a few of these action movies -- and elsewhere as you can see from this mouthy supercut. Glover turns 80 this year but is apparently not too old to do some signings and add some extras.

MY LAST THREE
The Cards: Elijah Holyfield 2019 Leaf Trinity Clear Auto Green (/10), 2019 Panini Phoenix Silver Autographs & 2019 Panini Phoenix Pink Autographs (/99)
The Price: $10.25 total
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This trio of cards for the former Georgia Bulldogs standout turned NFL player who is now in the lower ranks of WWE’s developmental ranks came from a quick dive of a few football cards. I suspect we might see some WWE ink this year, though he’s still pretty low on the appearances pecking order (house shows) other than its reality show he also did.

LET'S GET PHYSICAL
The Items: The Big Bang Theory Seasons 2 & 3 -- sealed DVD sets
The Price: $5.25 for the pair
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This isn’t a typo. I landed these two sets sealed and pretty clean for next to nothing. Why did I do that? I think I will actually grade the earlier one at some point because the cover image is one that has all of the main cast members at that point and seems like a decent little time-capsule kind of piece. Depending on the result there, I might try the other one. Why? I’m just a collector and I like an oddball slab. At this price, it’s low-risk.

REMEMBER THIS SET?
The Cards: Nick Lachey/Jessica Simpson & Mark Felt 2005 Topps Chronicles cards
The Price: Under $6 total
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This oddball non-sports brand didn’t last long, but it did include some notables in the headlines back in the day as 52 cards -- one per week -- were made in 2005 showcasing news events ranging from catastrophic relief to March Madness, Supreme Court headlines, team championships and celeb splits like what you see above. At right is Mark Felt, the former deputy director of the FBI who was the informant in the Watergate scandal but not revealed as such until this time. These were released alongside eTopps cardboard though these don’t seem to have even announced production volumes. They can’t be overly plentiful and I grabbed these months ago since they were cheap and notable.

THUNDERSTRUCK ... A FEW TIMES
The Cards: Assorted Thunder Rosa UD AEW Rookie Cards and insert cards
The Price: Pocket change up to about $9 for a serial-numbered RC parallel
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This self-made wrestling star and former AEW women’s champ is back from time off due to injury and that nugget gives me more of a reason to burn off a stockpile of stuff right here right now that had piled up for this collector over that time (and perhaps longer). In here are my favorite Rookie Card for her (and a couple parallels) picked off and photographed at different times as well as some parallels and insert cards that stood out from the pack and that were too cheap to not grab for a name I collect. The Allure set (above) isn’t her earliest cardboard but some of my buying here was actually prompted by opening a blaster box of that one and finding a colorful parallel that led me to look at the card a little closely. While she had cards at that point, I hadn’t really chased anything down other than some ink after this impressive 2021 match. That Rookie Card photo (as well as one other here) comes from that one, too, and that makes me like it even more.

WAITED FOR THE BASE VERSION
The Cards: Shotxi Blackheart 2025 Panini Instant Major League Wrestling (/114) -- five copies
The Price: $24 shipped
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This is a card you’ve seen here in parallel form in past months but I’m just playing catch-up here on the base-card front. Rather than fight bots and lose out on ones I want taking the time to add these, I’ve simply opted to skip base when my wrestler has popped up on Instant and just grab them later. That’s a move that might cost me a little more (or might not) while keeping the volumes down if I know people will be buying to sell here. They seem to be more active now with Instant (for all sports) than they were for WWE with my Oba Femi card over in this month’s Making The Grade.

THREE FOR HAYEK
The Cards: Salma Hayek 2023 UD Marvel Eternals Eternal Regard & When Immortals Walk the Earth Film Cels (Tier 1 & Tier 2)
The Price: $2.45 total
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This trio of cards was too cheap to pass up considering the name here -- even if the movie was one I skipped and probably wouldn’t bother with if it was in front of me (Marvel overload) -- plus these are slightly more deluxe cards on thicker acetate stock or skinny plastic. Those aren’t embedded film cels but cards made to look that way. For pocket change, I didn’t mind.

SOME STORIES, SOME RARER
The Cards: Triple H 2022 Panini Chronicles WWE It's All About The Game, Magnus (Nick Aldis) 2010 TRISTAR TNA Icons & 2010 TRISTAR TNA Xtreme (Rookie Cards), Brandi Rhodes (and Lil Bran Bran) 2021 UD AEW Spectrum Red (/50), Seth Rollins 2019 Topps Now WWE (/66) & Mia Yim 2020 Topps WWE Undisputed Blue (/25)
The Price: Approximately $17 total
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This is a group of WWE-related pick-ups over past months -- if not years at this point for some -- that have simply piled up for me despite having good little nuggets that make them interesting to me. The Triple H card is a rarer, case-level insert from Chronicles hobby boxes that was simply cheap for its relative scarcity. The Magnus cards are RCs for the Smackdown GM and former NWA champ. The Rhodes card shows her with her action figure -- I swear that’s a first for wrestling cards but don’t hold me to it. Meanwhile, those rare Rollins cards cost me just 77 cents apiece despite there only being 62 other copies on the planet. Last but not least, that Yim card is an epic piece of photography on a design and set that is as good as it gets for wrestling cards between its highly detailed -- almost/likely HDR treatment photos -- as well as the perfect parallel color (a hair-color match here, too) that’s a perfect design, too.

TIMES HAVE CHANGED
The Item: Wrestlemania 35 11-by-14 women’s tag team fatal four-way match poster (from a set) featuring Natalya, Nia Jax, Tamina, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Bayley, Sasha Banks & Beth Phoenix
The Price: $11
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This one isn’t perfect but I didn’t notice the corner issues here when I grabbed it but of all of the prints in this set for Mania this was the one with the most names that appealed to me. Just three of them are left in WWE despite this not being that old and basically all of them are notables where all might be considered for the Hall of Fame at some point.

A DEBUT?
The Card: Heather Graham 1988 Hostess Potato Chips Hot Summer Flicks food issue (still in its pack)
The Price: $7.90 (Buzz must have felt rich that day)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This small card -- they are less than 2 inches tall -- is among 40 that were inserted into packs of chips ... but only in Canada. This film was among Graham’s earlier credits (two TV spots and an uncredited movie role are all that’s before it on IMDb) and it’s easily her first cardboard. Also in this one are John Candy, Jeff Goldblum, Chevy Chase, River Phoenix and Tom Hanks for starters as the set includes looks at 12 movies that were new that year.

TWO CARDS, ONE CAITLIN
The Cards: Caitlin Bree & “Weird Talk” (Bree & Dante Hicks) 2017 Upper Deck Skybox Clerks "37” foil parallels (/37)
The Price: About $7.50 total
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: The profanity-laced perfection that is Clerks had a number of laugh-out-loud scenes but none were perhaps as absurd as the one at right with the main star here being Caitlin Bree. While the 37 parallel doesn’t reference her at all, it also is of note in terms of laughers from this one. The parallel isn’t that plentiful so I’ll bite if the price is right and the character or scene works for me.

COLLECTING THE CHARACTER OR THE STAR?
The Cards: 2021 UD Marvel Black Widow cards featuring Yelena Belova (aka Florence Pugh), Taskmaster's Targets & Family Reunion inserts
The Price: About $8 total (most of that for the last card)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This six-pack was from when I was picking off names newer to cardboard with an eye on grading something, Pugh doesn’t have a lot of cardboard with her name on it -- or at least didn’t when I grabbed these -- but they sat for me as lesser-priority cards for a grade as more stuff arrived and none of these had clean enough corners for my taste to take on the increased grading fee then, either, to do one. (It has to be a 10 contender for me when doing subs of cheaper cards.)

THE BIG FINISH
The Cards: Assorted Shotzi Blackheart cards -- Rookie Card, base cards, parallels and other inserts from Topps & Panini America sets
The Price: Pocket change up to a few bucks for some serial-numbered parallels
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This one is an admitted catch-all as some of these cards were part of a couple of lot buys where I inadvertently pulled out the better card(s) for a spot here in the past -- leaving the other cards just hanging in my photo folder for a spot here instead of a lot breakdown -- and then others stacked up over time as I picked them off on COMC and then only realized I had them already when I had them delivered months later when I had a decent stack of stuff piled up. Dupes don’t worry me as I collect her stuff and I’ll buy anything if I like it and the price is right. One cool thing here? Five of these cards show her wearing memorabilia that I own -- see those items right here and right here. Do I ever complete rainbows of parallels? No, there are high-rollers with deep pockets out there who nix those ideas ... but I’ll pick off some brands if the prices dip.
