Panini America
Panini SuperVIP spoils could be yours via BlowoutCards promo
This year's Panini VIP party at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlantic City, N.J., will have a Super twist -- as in SuperVIPs that get plenty of extras -- but BlowoutCards.com wants to help others get in on the action without heading to the coast.
Details have not yet been revealed for the party, but only a handful of SuperVIP tickets will be available.
Each SuperVIP will get 800 silver wrapper redemption packs. They will get double the Gold VIP packs, too, a number that remains elusive (but it will be impressive). They will get two VIP Black Boxes. They will get a set of autographed photos from the athletes in attendance at the party as well as a piece of memorabilia from Panini Authentic and a SuperVIP box.
How is Blowout making this more attainable to you even if you're not at the show or a VIP?

Buzz Poll: Now what for Deflategate's main players?
Unless the Supreme Court opts to hear his case, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will be suspended for the first four games of this season for his alleged role in the Deflategate scandal.
This puts the focus solely on Jimmy Garoppolo and the franchise in his hands. He's a guy who has completed 20 of 31 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown in 11 games over two seasons. As a recently drafted rookie found throughout 2014 brands, he's got plenty of cardboard for collectors to speculate with and that got Buzz wondering what you guys thought ...

Gallery: Panini America teases autos to come in several brands
Panini America has plenty of products coming up packed with plenty of ink -- and it unleashed a gallery of images to prove it.
The company's big three sports are represented and some of the biggest names in the games are in there, too.
Just because it's old doesn't mean the historic gems aren't in there
Plenty has changed in the sports card world in the last decade and BlowoutTV had a group break on Monday afternoon that proved it.The break was a case of 2006 National Treasures football cards -- a case that was made by a company that no longer exists but a lineage that continues today with Panini America.
Getting in on the break wasn't bad -- a four-box case ran just over $100 for two teams per spot -- and it reinforced the notion that old wax can still pack surprises no matter what changes in the hobby.
In fact, the final card in the final box was of a Hall of Famer -- a 1/1 autograph of a Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

Tim Duncan retires after 19 legendary seasons with Spurs -- and with very little signed cardboard
One of the NBA's most-successful big men and under-rated talents has retired.
A member of the San Antonio Spurs for 19 seasons, Tim Duncan was a five-time NBA champ, a two-time league MVP, a three-time Finals MVP, a 15-time All-Star and his next stop will undoubtedly be the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.
He averaged 19 points, 10.8 rebounds and three assists a game for his career and retires as the Spurs' career leader in games, minutes, field goals, rebounds, blocks, points and plenty more. He's also a guy who's not signed autographs much at all in recent years as he's turned down impressive amounts per sig from card companies.

First Lois Lane, Noel Neill, dies at 95
When Superman first came to the big screen in 1948, Lois Lane was played by Noel Neill, a Minnesota-born actress whose father was a newspaper editor.
It tuned out to be a role that helped define a career.
Neill went on to appear in 78 episodes of the Adventures of Superman television series that lasted six seasons and then have cameos in other Superman films as part of a career that spanned seven decades. She died on Monday at age 95 after a long illness.
"Brave, smart, and witty. She embodied the very best qualities of Lois Lane. RIP Noel Neill," read a message on the DC Comics Twitter account.

Matt Stonie isn't only Nathan's hot dog champ found on trading cards
It's nearly July 4, so it's time for a few hot dogs to be eaten -- and depending on where you are that could mean about 70 in 10 minutes.
Well, at least that's the goal tomorrow in Coney Island, N.Y.
At noon on ESPN3 will be the men's version of the Nathan’s Famous International Hot
Dog Eating Contest where current champ Matt Stonie will try to fend off past winners. Earlier in the morning at 10:50 is when the women compete. (Click the schedule at right to see when it re-airs.)
While competitive eating is a world of its own -- and something that doesn't often hit ESPN airwaves the other 364 days a year -- at least a half-dozen eating champs have appeared on trading cards that are available nationally. In fact, Stonie is an odds on favorite to appear as a "World's Champion" in Topps' popular 2016 Allen & Ginter baseball card set when it arrives later this month, which is fitting because that brand is where the trend first surfaced when it comes to eaters on cardboard.
Here's a rundown of the super six competitive eaters on cards so far ...
