Shayna Baszler's UFC cards may get new looks with Mae Young Classic

Fans of the UFC and MMA may see a familiar face if they tune in to tonight's final of the WWE's Mae Young Classic in Las Vegas.
It's Shayna Baszler, a MMA veteran who has a 15-11 record and is one of Ronda Rousey's friends that made up The Four Horsewomen. Now, Baszler is perhaps primed for a run in a WWE ring and finds herself in the championship match of a women's tournament that the company has scoured the global independent scene to build.
Because of her stint with UFC, Baszler does have some cardboard already as does her opponent tonight, Kairi Sane, a star from Japan.
Real autograph, fake card: A Ric Flair story too good to be 'woooooooooo'

There's an old saying that if something too good to be true, then it probably is -- and this collector recently got a reminder of just that.
With the recent health scare of pro wrestling legend "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, I decided it was past time to track down a copy of his 2005 Topps Heritage WWE autograph card -- a card that was never released in packs but had reportedly surfaced years ago.
It's not that I needed a Flair autograph -- I have it a few times and actually met him at a past show -- I wanted this card because I've always had an affinity for Topps' earliest years of WWE cards. This was Topps' first release in its current run, but Flair didn't make the cut as part of a crop of signers that includes Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, The Iron Sheik, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Trish Stratus, Stacy Keibler and so many more notables from the past.
I found one on eBay and examined the autograph in the auction photo closely even though it was certified by JSA. I checked other cards for sale from the seller to see if there were autographs that looked questionable -- everything looked fine to me and the card was affordably priced ($50) compared to another seller who wanted nearly $900 for a PSA-authenticated and slabbed copy (and I'm not a fan of its autograph). This JSA one was complete with sticker and a certificate noting that it was a witnessed autograph, not just an authenticated one.
But, I never even thought about whether the card itself was legit -- I figured somebody somewhere had gotten their hands on the original cards Flair was supposed to sign but didn't -- however I knew instantly upon arrival that the card was legit as one of Flair's face-first flops to the mat.
Tino Sabbatelli's first NXT ink is here -- but he's signed plenty before

The arrival of 2017 Topps WWE NXT this week marked the certified autograph debut of aspiring WWE star Tino Sabbatelli and just his third cardboard appearance, too.
But it's far from the first time he's sat down to sign autographs for a card company.

Could Jada Toys' Nano Metalfigs be a super-cheap collectible hit?

Simplicity, portability, affordability and the chase.
This collector found himself in the toy aisle of a chain store this week and noticed something relatively new that hadn't caught my attention before. At a glance I was interested and instantly found myself scouring the pegs for something that ended up not being there.
It was a section of Jada Toys' new Nano Metalfigs that are available for a few different realms -- DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Disney/Pixar, Street Fighter, Harry Potter -- and they're tiny metal sculptures that come in packages just like the big kids' toys but they don't come with a big price.
They've probably been around for some collectible genres I don't watch all that closely, but the first wave of the new WWE figures caught my eye simply because they were so small ... and so cheap.

What's a personalization worth to you? WWE tests the market ...

The question in the headline is a simple one -- what's a personalization worth to you?
Some collectors would pay more for an item with a message to them, while others would opt for an autograph without anything extra as it would be easiest to sell without a personalization.
WWE is testing that market with a series of five autographed photos available via its auction site for a price -- and a limited time.
