What's Buzz-worthy: My latest one of these shows how these packs can be oddly repetitive at times -- my rookie volume is back up where it was a couple boxes ago and some of the same names popped up here across the board in all parts of the pack (base, rookies and inserts). Was there one bigger card? Not really, though my Gold (one in 13 hangers) was a rookie and the son of a former National League Rookie Of The Year winner ... so I guess I could have done worse on that find in terms of names since the set is so large. This format continues to deliver well with variety for a lower price, which is probably why I’ve only ripped here and ripped with lower expectations.  ... The Diamante parallels are still the best of the foils and this is a respectable B+/A-level box but it could still easily be topped. ... Chew on the checklist, cross-check the odds, scout the singles and figure out which format’s for you. There’s a lot of stuff packed into this one -- and a lot made -- but I do think it’s a solid release for its diamond anniversary.

Product Grade: A (improved over last year and printing/cutting quality seems stronger this year)
Box Grade:
A- (would have checked in lower without the Gold)
Fun Grade: B+
