BuzzMania 8: Making A Case For Panini Chronicles (Hour 6)
The biggest weekend in pro wrestling is here with WrestleMania 41 set for this Saturday and Sunday from Las Vegas. We'll make today a big one for wrestling collectors right here on The Buzz with #BuzzMania8, a marathon of wrestling breaks all day long.
This case made last year's lineup and it had to get another crack when I found it cheap back on Black Friday. Why? This is a variety-packed brand that truly delivers that with volume -- it's a fun one to rip if you ask me -- no matter what can happen on the quality control front.

Baseball America's annual Draft Preview issue is here and it's jam-packed with facts and other info that all card prospectors simply need heading into the MLB Draft this weekend. The issue also spotlights a few future stars.
The biggest issue of the year features player profiles and scouting reports for 100 players, a list of 100 more to check out beyond those names, a mock draft, comparisons of today's notables to past stars, BA's annual All-America teams for both the college and prep ranks and even, in some copies of this issue, exclusive prospect cards

Buzz Buys: Tua, Coco Gauff, Jade Cargill, Connor Bedard, new NASCAR, Bo Bichette, MLB legends, celebs, old mags & more
Buzz buys and busts a lot of boxes right here for Buzz Breaks, but one of my goals is to rip a little less and talk more about cardboard that I -- and you -- might like. One way to do that? Simple show and tell -- present a few pick-ups and say why they captured my attention.
So, with all that said, here are a few Buzz Buys ...

THIS SET IS A CLASSIC
The Card: Tua Tagovailoa 2023 Panini Luminance Gold (/250)
The Price: About $5.50
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This set was among many recent NFL releases on the high-end spectrum when it comes to box price, so, well, I'm not ripping it ... but when this one popped up in an online search I did some scrolling and I quickly realized that this set just might be one of the best photo-editing jobs done in all of modern football card history (view a lot of them here). I scouted listings and opted for this clean parallel of a top guy in the NFL this season and this one arrived so clean that there's a very good shot this will end up slabbed and in a future Making The Grade ... that's how much I like this card. The base set is full of strong images. Strong, strong images.

Fast Five: Players who interest me on NFL Draft night
This one is a new department here on The Buzz ... Fast Five -- a quick list under a simple topic that might offer a basic starting point for a themed collection. It's a basic list of five items that could be fun for a starting collector or a new way to add to a stash that might already seemingly include everything when it comes to cardboard. For some of you, it's probably common sense. For others of you out there, it's perhaps something to ponder.
This time? Five players who interest me on draft night
WHERE WILL AARON RODGERS GO?
The No. 1 pick in the draft sounds like it's a no-surprises no-brainer this year ... Trevor Lawrence at No. 1 ... but what about the rest? The experts and amateur analysts say it's a good crop of QBs (I'm just a collector) and it seems that collecting/flipping/whatever you want to call it for football cards right is pretty much all about QBs, QBs, QBs and maybe an RB or WR or two. The Aaron Rodgers stories that are coming out literally right now make it seem like the biggest trade returns for the future Hall of Famer would be before the draft ... but will that affect QBs? I dunno ... but it could. So, is Rodgers one of my five players here? Not really -- he's established and expensive -- the question is who's the next Green Bay Packers QB. If it's Jordan Love, OK ... there's potential with his cards that's there now that wasn't perhaps a few hours ago. But ... what if the Packers get a QB in return? There might be less interest or need for Jordan cards than a few hours ago. And a trade of a guy like this could basically flip over the table for a lot of teams draft-wise if they are in there early and needing an arm ... you might even have a Jeopardy! joke in there somewhere.Keep reading for four more making up the list this time.
Buzz's Pick Six: 2019 MLB rookies Buzz is watching right now
Have you seen the latest cool cards from a new release? With so many options for collectors of all kinds arriving every week it's possible you haven't. That's where Buzz comes in. This week's list is not for those who are deep prospectors, rather it's for those who might look to dabble with young MLB players without the wait for them to arrive. My list, which should be an obvious one for most collectors, simply spotlights six rookies who are playing well. Their biggest cards are already priced big -- but that doesn't mean you can't find some nice underpriced stuff and build some gains as they play well this season.
The new six: No product this time -- just six MLB rookies Buzz is watching.

SLIGHTLY OFF THE RADAR?
The Player: Keston Hiura, 2B, Milwaukee Brewers
The Stats: Hitting .307 with 13 HRs and 30 RBI in 52 games
Why he's Buzz-worthy: You won't necessarily see him atop the season's leaders for rookies since he's only played in 52 games this year, but he's already in The Show in just his third campaign as a pro. He hit .317 in 222 MiLB games and that might be the biggest key here in my mind -- he's not just a power guy unlike others you will see on this list. He did have 36 homers and 122 RBI in those MiLB games, too, but the production here just seems balanced and reliable with some pop. An example of that? In his first three at-bats on Wednesday night he had a homer, a double and another homer, upping his average to .309.
Total autos: 300-plus

Off-radar autos: 2016 Elite Extra Edition (USA Baseball)Keep reading for five more interesting players in this week's roundup ...
Three options for Detroit Tigers at No. 1 in MLB Draft have dramatically differing pre-draft card résumés (for now)
Who'll go first in the 2018 MLB Draft? We'll find out in a few hours as the Detroit Tigers are set to add a new name to the record books.
There are a couple of favorites who'll join the ranks of Dansby Swanson, Carlos Correa, Bryce Harper and Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. as the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. And that one could also join the ranks of David Clyde, Brien Taylor or Matt Bush, too, depending on their luck -- they all went No. 1, too, but with lesser results.
Most prognosticators have a couple of names potentially to be taken by the Tigers at No. 1 and Auburn's Casey Mize, a 21-year-old right-handed pitcher, is one of them. He went 10-5 with a 2.95 ERA with 151 strikeouts and 12 walks in 109-plus innings this season. He's also got plenty of baseball cards already thanks to USA Baseball -- more than 60 cards and more than half of those are certified autographs. He can be found in 2017 Elite Extra Edition, 2017 Panini Contenders and the 2018 USA Baseball Stars and Stripes releases.
Another of the Tigers' potential picks also has some cardboard already ... but a lot less to go around.
Potential No. 1 pick A.J. Puk appears on plenty of cards before MLB Draft
With the MLB Draft set for Thursday night, we'll soon have a new crop of prospects attached to their professional teams and new players that collectors can now focus upon.
Thanks to various high school all-star sets and USA Baseball releases from Panini America, many of the players who'll be tabbed for future greatness already have cardboard.
That includes potential No. 1 overall pick A.J. Puk, a 6-foot-7 left-handed pitcher for the Florida Gators who was previously drafted in the 35th round by the Detroit Tigers out of high school back in 2013.
