Houston Astros will start top prospect Alex Bregman on Monday
One of baseball's top prospects is getting the call on Monday.The Houston Astros will call up former LSU star Alex Bregman after a solid second season in the minor leagues where he's hit .306 with 20 homers and 61 RBI in 80 games between Double-A Corpus Christi and Triple-A Fresno.
"We feel like this is a good time to add him to a good team," Astros manager A.J. Hinch told the Houston Chronicle. "We're rolling along pretty well. He doesn't have to come up here and be anything but himself and contribute at a couple different positions."

Card of the Day: A Chris Sale 2013 Topps Tribute Commemorative Cuts Relic -- with a cut piece of his game-used jersey.
Why? Well, you may not have watched TV lately but Sale was suspended five games by the Chicago White Sox after he reportedly cutting up the team's throwback jerseys the team was supposed to have worn on Saturday night. Rather than pitch wearing a certain style uniform, he reportedly destroyed the uniforms before being sent home.

Topps is bringing back the X once again.
Last year for the 10th release of its Allen & Ginter brand, Topps created a "parallel" product named Allen & Ginter X for the tobacco-styled brand with a black image background instead of the traditional white.
This year, it's back and it will be an online-only product -- initially only available at Topps.com -- packing a guaranteed autograph in every box.
