If you hadn't noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices right now right here as Blowout Cards' Black November sales are going strong with Wave 2 just dropping.
The first wave is here and many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz once again had to sit down and ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases -- and here are five boxes/cases that caught this collector’s eye ... and there's far more that just might suit your tastes in the big sale.

BLAST FROM THE PAST
2012 Topps Archives baseball hobby box
Here's one I didn't expect to see pop up ... but it's a longshot spot to chase a rare Bryce Harper Rookie Card that will pay for the box. It's not cheap now but these boxes can include all kinds of stuff. Among the basic autos? A ton of memorable (cheap) names and then guys like Don Mattingly, Gary Carter, Hank Aaron, Ken Griffey Jr., Sandy Koufax, Yu Darvish and Willie Mays. There are also rare Karate Kid box-topper autos for sensei John Kreese (aka Martin Kove) and main Cobra Kai bad guy Johnny Lawrence played by Billy Zabka. Some rarer autos also include an array of top names but there could be receptions for that set in some cases so I won't focus on it ... but there are huge names there if live. There's a lot of other creative stuff here and two autos per box.Keep reading for a few more boxes you should consider (and are likely to end up in Buzz's cart).

A MASSIVE MAHOMES STASH ...
The Item: Patrick Mahomes super collection that includes 33 1/1 cards and more (all 2017 cards)
The Price: $7.5 million Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This stash isn't just all that you see above -- hit that link to see it all in the listing -- but that doesn't matter. The fact that Mahomes' best Prizm and Optic Rookie Cards and parallels aren't in there doesn't matter -- what matters here is that TMZ got its eyes on this one and it's now got a lot more exposure ... without there even being a Rob Kardashian cameo. The stash is nothing to sniff at -- it's loaded -- with a full breakdown at the link and the story of how it all came together for Robert DeArmitt Jr. and his wife, Heidi. The cost to put it all together? About $20,000. There's no doubt it would command more than that if pieced out and the seller says he's gotten seven-figure deals ... but common sense says, well, that price may not be hit. Except 2020 is weird, y'all. Maybe a Kardashian or Wahlberg wants to collect even more?

Auction Buzz: Goldin's big sale went beyond Honus Wagner
A copy of the hobby's biggest cards set a new seven-figure auction record this weekend via Goldin Auctions, but it was far from the only notable sale in its two-session October Legends event that included some remarkable modern card sales that fetched six-figures and a collection from Cal Ripken Jr. that topped the million-dollar mark on its own.
AN EXQUISITE PIECE
The Item: Michael Jordan & Scottie Pippen 2005-06 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Logoman Autographed Patches #DLA-JP (1/1)
The Price: Sold for $295,200 after 11 bids
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: It's not perfect, but it's a one-of-a-kind card -- and it's one of those kinds of cards that's as big as it gets as a dual-logoman auto from the brand that helped usher in the super-premium products that generate huge cash for high-rolling collectors today. It's slabbed as authentic likely due to the top left corner and how it's signed off the edges of the card but, again, it's alone as the only copy made making it a name-your-price piece. And, believe it or not, compared to many of the Exquisite card sales of the last few years this one still feels a tad under-priced.Keep reading for a deeper look at four more big items in the sale that should command attention.
Making the Grade (November): Young MLB stars, a few Hall of Famers, Big Bang Theory, Trish Stratus & an early Dale Jr. card
Like many collectors, Buzz is a fan of grading and knows that there are many reasons that collectors choose to slab cards. Sometimes it's to enhance the appeal and protect them when selling. Other times it's to protect an investment for the long-term or to protect for sentimental reasons. Or, it might be just for fun or curiosity about a potential grade.
Here's this month's grading diary here on The Buzz ...
FEELING SUPER
The Card: Nick Swisher 2015 Bowman Chrome Superfractor #129 (1/1)
The Reason Bought: I picked this one up off of a collector friend who grabbed it for me, making this just my second Superfractor for my retired favorite player and my third Super overall (I once pulled one from a Heritage blaster) in years of collecting. There's not a whole lot of grading drama to be had on either the grade or the pop report, but I figured I'd lead things off with the rarest card of the bunch for this edition.
The Grade: BGS 9.5Grade 5.5 6 6.5 7 7.5 8 8.5 9 9.5 10 B10 Total Population 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 1 Reality Check: This is the only one that exists and it had been on the market for literally years online -- I got it for about $3 more than an offer I made for it when it first arrived and was declined. I've never been all that enamored enough to chase any of them, but this one I'm comfortable with since it was not much more than a basic Bowman box typically goes for at suggested retail price even after landing a top grade.

THE WEIRD ONE ... WITH BIG POTENTIAL
Ty Cobb Authentic Handwritten Relic box
If you've ever wanted an autograph of MLB legend Ty Cobb but can't afford it, you're not alone. However, these boxes are the home of cut autographs from him and every box has a cut card that showcases a piece of handwriting from the Hall of Famer but at a far lower price than you might expect. The presentation here is pretty solid -- see how it looks in a Buzz Break I did awhile back -- and I'm probably going to do another.
