Just for kicks ... A look at Steven Adams' basketball cards
We all know why Oklahoma City's Steven Adams was in the headlines after Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals (and, if not, it's on heavy rotation on ESPN just tune in), but the New Zealand-born center just might be a guy on the team whose cardboard could be on the move if the Thunder can dethrone the defending champion Golden State Warriors.
Why?
He's not Kevin Durant or Russell Westbrook. The third-year star and former 12th-overall draft pick has a good amount of cardboard available so, just for kicks, let's take a look at some of his cards ...

Chris Sale's historic start grabs attention & puts focus on key cards
He's been an All-Star, he's been an ace and he's been a bit overlooked on cardboard.
But that last part could be changing soon for Chris Sale.
With his third complete game of the year Thursday night, the Chicago White Sox ace became the first pitcher in nearly a decade to start the season 9-0 after nine starts -- and he's only the fourth pitcher to reach the mark that fast since 1950. He's also off to the second-best start in franchise history with the record being a 12-0 run by Eddie Cicotte way back in 1919.

Karl-Anthony Towns takes home top NBA rookie honors

Max Scherzer's historic game prompts key hobby question
Washington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer did something last night that had only happened three other times in MLB history.
He struck out 20 batters in a game.
It's a feat that only Roger Clemens, who did it twice, and Kerry Wood have done before, but in both of those pitchers' cases there's an iconic early baseball card to chase. For Clemens, his 1984 Fleer Update card is the one to own. For Wood, it's his 1997 Bowman Chrome.
For Scherzer?
