Yippee ki-yay ... Die Hard Funko Pop! toys on way in October
Yippee ki-yay ... Die Hard Funko Pop! toys are on the way.The 1988 classic that launched a franchise gets its turn as vinyl toys as Funko revealed its first lineup of five toys for the Bruce Willis franchise on Wednesday morning.
A bloodied John McClane gets the nod to lead things off with his bloodied tank top and bare feet, but it's somebody else from the action film who gets two toys -- one being a chase figure.
A few autographs I'd want to see in 2019 Topps Allen & Ginter

When it comes to baseball card brands, Topps' Allen & Ginter is one of the most-unique ones in the hobby today -- even though it's modeled after cards from the 1880s.
Why? Those original tobacco cards featured all kinds of people and all kinds of things -- not just baseball players -- among many releases but it's the "World's Champions" that drive the idea of what we've gotten today since Topps re-introduced the brand back in 2006.Kate Upton, Takeru Kobayashi, George W. Bush, Serena Williams, Axl Rose, Michelle Beadle, Anthony Bourdain, Nick Saban, Cat Osterman, Kevin Costner, Sylvester Stallone, Roger Federer, Michael Phelps, Tony Hawk, Maria Sharapova, John Wooden, Laila Ali, Snoop Dogg, Pele, Henry Rollins and so many other surprising subjects have been found in packs of baseball cards beside typical MLB inclusions such as Mike Trout, Hank Aaron, Bryce Harper, Derek Jeter, Justin Verlander, Sandy Koufax, Clayton Kershaw and Ichiro Suzuki through the years. Those surprises can be pricey later, too. Upton wasn't a super-rare autograph but you wouldn't know it based on these prices.
Planning stages for the 2019 release are clearly already beginning for the brand as Topps took to Twitter on Thursday to ask collectors who they'd want to see in Ginter for non-baseball inclusions.
That got Buzz thinking ... and here are a few signers I'd want to see in 2019 Topps Allen & Ginter -- and more than a few of them have small ties to the baseball world.

A SUPER SELLER SO FAR
The Item: 2018 Cryptozoic Supergirl Season 1 Melissa Benoist autograph (Supergirl version)
The Price: $480 after 11 bids with five-plus days remaining
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This latest arrival and the first for The CW series has a number of autographs to watch but none are bigger than those signed by Supergirl herself -- and Melissa Benoist actually has at least three different cards for collectors to look for. So far, three of her autos have sold for $999.50 or more on eBay and her rare dual-wardrobe cards found in this one -- what looks like one blue suit swatch and one red cape swatch -- also has pushed $800. This one is a live auction so it should be interesting to see how this one ends. The other big sales have been Buy-It-Now or Best Offer sales -- and the asking prices are higher than $1,000 for the active auctions right now

Base set completion: N/ABurt Reynolds' career sparked plenty of cards and autographs

The Longest Yard, Boogie Nights, The Cannonball Run, Deliverance, Stroker Ace, Hooper.
Those are just some of the movies that actor Burt Reynolds helped bring to life -- and he had plenty more television roles atop those in a career that began in the late-1950s -- but he'll always be known for one iconic role. He was "The Bandit" in Smokey and The Bandit, a tale of the ultimate beer run led by Bo "Bandit" Danville and his battles with the cast of characters who tried -- but failed -- to chase him down.
That chase will continue on film forever without him, though, as Reynolds died Thursday. He was 82.

A HIGH-GRADE RARITY
The Item: 1959 Fleer Ted Williams #68 Ted Signs for 1959 SP (PSA 9)
The Price: $2,500 Buy-It-Now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Today would have been Ted Williams' 100th birthday and this card is by far the rarest one from a unique and collectable set that examines his life away from the game as well as highlights up to that time. He signed a $5,000 per year deal to only appear on Fleer cards but this one was pulled for some type of contractural reason. Meanwhile, ironically, if you check the PSA pop report this card is the most-graded of any card in the set. (Likely since it's the most-valuable and others are all readily available.) Just 43 copies of this card have graded a PSA 9 -- and fakes exist, meaning you should buy one graded -- and none have graded higher.

GOING SOLO?
The Item: 2018 Topps Star Wars Archives Signature Series Harrison Ford 1/1 1977 autograph
The Price: Out of this galaxy (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This card came from a new box of Signature Series, which is a simple one-autograph-per-card buyback release. There are a lot of cards in this one that aren't as big as the elusive ink of Han Solo but the fact that he's in there (likely on other 1/1s) makes this box one to consider. There's no doubt it won't go for that much, but it should be interesting to see how much it does command when it does sell -- because Ford's autographs are in high demand when it comes to Star Wars cards.

BIGGEST THING IN BASEBALL RIGHT NOW
The Item: Ronald Acuña 2017 Bowman's Best Green Refractor auto /99 (BGS 10-10)
The Price: $290 after 44 bids (active auction)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: The early autograph cards for this young slugger typically get graded and put on eBay with new-car pricing but this card -- one that came just a .5 away from a perfect BGS Black slab -- is up as an active auction that will close in five days. His home run binge is something that we've already talked about here this week and it will be interesting to see where this one lands. Bowman's Best cards are typically overlooked vs. Chromes but they can command some good cash at times -- and it should do pretty well in a scenario like this where he's red-hot on the field.
