Ticket Stud or Ticket Dud? You decide ... here's Chapter 23
With these Ticket Stud or Ticket Dud stories I'm turning just a tiny bit of that energy just a few degrees away from cards (we'll still have plenty of them here) for a different kind of cardboard. What am I doing? Simple ... this is an occasional dip into some random ticket lots -- a show and tell showing something small with a story.
This time? A player on the move who's showcased here -- and two early appearances for some young All-Stars.
Keep reading to see the details this time ... and tell me if you think it's a Ticket Stud or a Ticket Dud.
Collecting Game-used: A special day from the 'stone ages' ...
If you want to know how simple things in the everyday for sports have changed over the years -- just the recent years -- then this month's item is a perfect example.
It's less than a decade old, but there's no irrefutable video to show this one in action over on the MLB Film Room (at least not yet) database of video clips. And there are no added stats attached to this one -- at least on its MLB Authentication entry -- to offer up advanced into on stuff that some people love. (No biggie for me, spin rates aren't needed.) At a glance it's perhaps one officially from the stone ages.
What's this one's deal? Well, you can probably guess with those stitches ... it's not a bad photo, it's a specialty ball.
You can keep reading to see the details ... and maybe the ball in action.

2015 Bowman's Best MLB eight-box hobby case
Best returned after several years on the bench, bringing a new wave of prospects and rookies with a total of four autos per box via a mini-box format. While a number of prospect releases from this timeframe have blown up, this one is still more on the affordable side while also including some solid names among the parallel rainbow as well as on the autograph front. Among autographs possible here? Andrew Benintendi, Anthony Rizzo, Bryce Harper, Buster Posey, Blake Snell, Carlos Correa, Dansby Swanson, Francisco Lindor, Jose Altuve, Kris Bryant, Kyle Schwarber, Max Scherzer, Mike Trout, Rafael Devers, Trea Turner, Walker Buehler, David Ortiz, and more. It's a good mix of prospects and more with 32 autos per case and plenty of color and inserts, too.Buzz Break: 2019 Topps Allen & Ginter baseball cards (blaster)

THE CHAMPS ARE HERE
The Card: David Price World Series Champion Autographed Relics (/50 max)
The Price: N/A as these are not available yet
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This guy's dominating postseason led the Red Sox to another World Series title and that means we get a few highlight cards in the base set and some rarer hits among the chase cards for this latest crown. Our sneak peek at this set arrives just after the checklist, which shows a handful of base cards for the Series, 14 World Series Champion Relics (/99 max), 12 World Series Champion Autographs (/50 max) and seven guys in the World Series Champion Autographed Relics set. These are typically not the easiest pulls as they are limited and the run for this one is larger than others due to popularity. Price is perhaps the biggest auto in this one with Brock Holt, Chris Sale, Christian Vazquez, Eduardo Rodriguez, Matt Barnes and Rick Porcello joining him. There will be Red parallels for all of these sets, too.Keep reading for five more interesting items in this week's roundup ...

All teams will be had in caps that have their visors branded using memorable elements from the card sets as well as a Topps logo on the side.
Elite Extra Edition boxes can pay off for bargain hunters & auto chasers
To say that the baseball card landscape has changed in the last decade might be an understatement, but there's been one prospecting brand that has delivered many of the biggest names early and often and delivered a good amount of ink, too, thanks to Hot Boxes.
It's packed a number of surprise inclusions, a tremendous rainbow of serial-numbered parallel autos and even some pretty good bargains as many collectors have their established habits elsewhere. In recent years, it's also given us a teaser of younger USA Baseball players, too.
This mainstay -- and arguably a simultaneous sleeper -- is Elite Extra Edition.
