MiLB Madness: Cardboard for Froggy & T-Bone, The Kastaways mascot band, Gatorade fans and even a Hall of Famer batboy
Minor league cards can include some weird stuff ... stuff you wouldn't imagine to be found on a baseball card and here are five example of some oddities in this latest MiLB Madness series item.
JUST MARVEL AT THIS ODDITY
The Card: Froggy, T-Bone & Juan Blancarte -- aka the "Team Leaders" -- 2014 Grandstand Bakersfield Blaze
The Buzz On This One: I feel like I need to make some catchy Grateful Dead reference here or something with how this trio sounds (and the team name) but I'll play it straight and let it speak for itself -- this is a baseball card for a program salesman with an interesting story, a bus driver with a knack for landing free popcorn and a rookie clubhouse manager who makes sure his team is "well-fed, well-buttered and clean." Just read it (click for a closer view) ... it's a perfect minor-league oddity.Keep reading for four more examples of weird baseball cards you can (almost) only find in MiLB.

2015 Bowman's Best MLB eight-box hobby case
Best returned after several years on the bench, bringing a new wave of prospects and rookies with a total of four autos per box via a mini-box format. While a number of prospect releases from this timeframe have blown up, this one is still more on the affordable side while also including some solid names among the parallel rainbow as well as on the autograph front. Among autographs possible here? Andrew Benintendi, Anthony Rizzo, Bryce Harper, Buster Posey, Blake Snell, Carlos Correa, Dansby Swanson, Francisco Lindor, Jose Altuve, Kris Bryant, Kyle Schwarber, Max Scherzer, Mike Trout, Rafael Devers, Trea Turner, Walker Buehler, David Ortiz, and more. It's a good mix of prospects and more with 32 autos per case and plenty of color and inserts, too.Buzz Break: 2019 Topps Update baseball cards (blaster box)

Gerrit Cole & Anthony Rendon lead solid 2011 EEE auto pack
If you want to find autographs from some standout stars of MLB today without breaking the bank, there's one box you might consider -- and it's one loaded with several autographs every single time.
It's 2011 Donruss Elite Extra Edition.
Houston Astros pitcher Gerrit Cole is just one of the prospects you'll find in this one and there's literally a lot to be found in EEE. You get six autographs per box and every 20-box case includes four Hot Boxes that include 10 signed cards. That's an average of 136 autos per case -- and it's that kind of safety in numbers where can do pretty well if some of the notable players line up in your boxes. And, remember, this isn't an expensive box these days -- if you land a key name on a rarer parallel you could do well for the cost.
Cole, who struck out 15 batters on Sunday, appears on a dozen auto cards in the release with his standard card limited to 500 more copies than that K mark (515). He's 16-5 with a 2.73 ERA and a league-leading 281 strikeouts for a team that figures to go deep into the postseason, if not win it all -- a scenario that will make even his cheapest autos move a little more briskly.
Who else can be found in this one?
