Topps reveals new autograph inclusions for 2017 Topps Tribute

There will be some new features in 2017 Topps Tribute when it arrives later this month and chief among them will be some new autographs that weren't available back in September when this one was announced.
The biggest one? Former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, who signed with the company in November. His ink will be found in Tribute Autographs and the Generations of Excellence Autographs sets.

Topps revealed on Thursday its plans for a Retrospective set for former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter that will be found in packs of the throwback brand.
The set will showcase Jeter's iconic cards from his career -- with autographs.

Rare Kris Bryant autos, party passes, sketches & cuts command cash from Topps' historic Transcendent release

With 52 autographs in every box -- as well as a posh party invitation -- it doesn't take a lot to see the dollar signs inside each $25,000 box of 2016 Topps Transcendent Collection baseball cards.
Those invites alone get a good chunk of change back (details here) and each case's 1/1 Kris Bryant autograph using one of the 65 historic Topps designs commands some, too. Those cards have sold for as much as $2,182 on eBay (so far) and all seven sold have gone for at least $1,000.Meanwhile, the asking or bid prices in current auctions are over the $1,000 mark in all but one instance and range as high as $7,250 for those in the historic set.
But the priciest find found inside one of those 65 silver briefcases? It's much more impressive.

Derek Jeter signs multi-year autograph deal with Topps

The Captain's autographs are coming back to Topps packs.
Former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter has signed a multi-year autograph deal for his ink to appear in Topps baseball products. His first ink for the company since 2001 will be found in 2016 Topps Dynasty and 2016 Topps Transcendent Collection as well as 2017 Topps products. Dynasty arrives on Dec. 7, while Transcendent arrives two days later.
"Adding Derek Jeter autographs to our trading card products will be thrilling for collectors,” said David Leiner, Vice President and General Manager of North American Sports & Entertainment at Topps. “He is one of the most-prolific and well-known players of our time, and his addition is one collectors will be clamoring for.”

2013 Panini Prizm Perennial Draft Picks baseball hobby box
Every box of this one includes four autographs, three inserts and six Prizm parallels -- that's not a lot and Panini America added more in subsequent Prizm releases but there are a couple of names that make this box notable at its reduced price. They are Kris Bryant and Mookie Betts and both of those MVP candidates can be found within the Prizm rainbow of autographs here. Others of note within these packs? Carlos Correa, Joc Pederson, Clint Frazier, Byron Buxton, Clint Frazier, Maikel Franco, Jose Abreu and Aaron Judge. The right rare shade here could be easy profits based on the box prices.
