Travis Pastrana and Evel Knievel autographs are in demand
Buzz doesn't hit The History Channel that often -- unless there's maybe an American Pickers marathon on -- but there was a little bit of oldschool Americana there for three hours late Sunday night.A show called Evel Live brought a little bit of daredevil insanity that felt right out of the 1970s as motorsports star Travis Pastrana successfully replicated three of Evel Knievel's biggest stunts all on live TV -- without any of the broken bones that the late star suffered in his Caesar's Palace jump that ended in jarring fashion that's been seen countless times in painful slow-motion.
Pastrana used an Indian Scout motorcycle -- a 340-pound beast much heavier and stiffer than his motocross equipment where he's done some insane stunts -- to jump 143 feet over 52 crushed cars, 192 feet over 16 buses and 149 feet to clear the fountains at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Before that last one, he wound his way through the crowded strip posing for selfies and high-fiving fans stuck in traffic in a way that would make Johnny Blaze proud.
You might not expect either of them to have a lot of cardboard -- and they don't -- but you can find certified autographs of each with some hunting.

eBay Buzz Weekly Update: Rick and Morty scorchers, a vintage Hall of Fame RC cello pack, Pro Set NBA, Paula Abdul & more
Have you seen the latest crazy items on eBay? If not, you just might see some of those here every week as we're launching a weekly version of our eBay Buzz pieces that pop up from time to time. We’ll spotlight some items that have a story or just wow us with how much interest it might have — and we’re not just talking baseball cards, either.--
HOTTEST INK IN THE HOBBY?
The Item: 2018 Cryptozoic Rick And Morty Season 1 Autograph #JR-R Justin Roiland as Rick Sanchez (/50)
The Price: $947.64 Buy-It-Now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Just like the cartoon series, you can't really explain it -- you just have to see it. A number of the autographs in this recently released product are scorchers and they're not even the main thrust of the set -- you'll find one and sometimes two full-color sketch cards per box (and sometimes an auto atop that). Roiland is the co-creator of this cult classic series and he signed a few different cards for characters in this release -- and that hasn't brought down prices for those that have sold or are on the block. Even the binders for this one are selling very well.

HOW ABOUT THIS OHTANI?
The Item: 2018 Topps Inception Jumbo Patch Autograph Shohei Ohtani 1/1
The Price: $50,000 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Inception is a fun memorabilia-laced creation and this card is among the biggest in the product that arrived just yesterday. Ohtani appears on just 10 cards in the product -- three un-numbered versions and the rest rarer than 25 copies -- and this is one of two 1/1s in the release for this super-hot international star. Will that asking price be met? I doubt it, but it's a nice card.

Rick and Morty's trading card arrival sparks red-hot frenzy
What happens when a cult classic hits cardboard for the first time, its boxes show signs of over-delivering on some dazzling sketch cards and other big hits, and its fan base is rabid for all of it like it's one big Szechuan Sauce pack from McDonald's? (Wait, what? ... Fans of the show know.)It means red-hot boxes, scorching cases and even blistering binders for Cryptozoic's newest release.
It's 2018 Rick and Morty Season 1 and it's a cardboard phenom that's as out there as the possibilities in the Adult Swim franchise's forays into, well, just about everything.
